1999 - 2005 (E46) (1999 - 2005) Starting in 1999 the E46 3 Series picked up where the E36 left off. Larger, with smoother lines, and with more advanced engines than its predecessor, the E46 easily held the title of "Best Car of the Year" throughout its life.

Did you buy an accessory wiring harness and hook it up to the battery jump port? Or did you just hook it up without doing the whole accessory wiring harness thing?

Yeah i ordered some ddm hids for my fogs and i ordered the accessory wiring harness to avoid the power surge some people experience with the cluster reseting itself. I don't want to risk any electrical damage.

How's your kit holding up? Do you experience any power surges using the stock factory harness?

Hey for those of you worried about surges using the factory harness, stop worrying.

18 months on factory harness and no issues. The only time the cluster reset itself was just before the battery and then alternator went out.
