Ask Mark. I think he knows how the SAP delete kit looks.

Wish there was one for the V8's. That kit looks to be good tho, whoever wrote it seems like they know what they are doing.

"The BMW Secondary Air Pump Simulator is designed for racing headers without secondary air injection ports. If your DME failed to detect the existence of secondary air injection system, the annoying Check Engine Light will come off. The device will allow you to completely remove the secondary air injection systems without triggering the CEL. The whole secondary air injection system weights more than 15lb, critical for your racing application!!!"

This is VERY appealing to me. I've replaced my whole system like 3 times and it is still noisy at cold start-up. I hate it - sounds like a diesel engine idling for 20 seconds...

If it can keep the CEL gone, and not fail emissions in VA, I'm all over this thing...

I would be very weary connecting this device to the cars it says it supports, much less a model that is not listed.

Three times? I would certainly investigate the point of failure and ensure you have a properly functioning Secondary Air Pump Control Valve. A failed one can take out the pump pretty quickly. Happened to me once while still under warranty, at around 40k miles. Now at 134k and I replaced that valve as a preventive measure.

I replaced the SAP on my previous e39 three times too (between 30K-80K miles)! Once under the original warranty, once I paid for it and the last time under a parts warranty. Each time the valve was replaced, too. I never found water in the pump either. These SAP systems stink! But I would not trust an aftermarket gizmo. Too many sensitive electronics on board that could get damaged inadvertantly. Just my $.02

Yep, three times. I used all OEM parts, replaced the *whole* system once, and other parts two other times. Very frustrating...
