Can those be mounted on a later model car? What additional parts would be required?

from what I know, these can be mounted on 2002s and on the early E21 320i/323i

other parts are necessary to mount that style morror...they are like the later o2 side mirrors....there is a flat bar and a set screw on the end of the mirror base...the bar mounts to the door with cage nuts

you also need a pair of gaskets

Plus the appropriate mirror delete plates on the doors.

I think I have the mounts on my spare/stock '78.
I can only find the rt side mirror, but I believe both mounts are all still intact.
Let me know, if in need. Robert

EDIT: nevermind - my mounts are more narrow, and longer than OP's mirror mounts..
Sorry for the hi-jack...

Robert, that is the same mount. It is part #15 in the parts list above. As a bonus, you also have the window trim pieces too.

Cool. I guess pictures can be decieving sometimes .
I'm not sure of their old quality, I don't even know how to take them off, nor do I even know how the driverside got knocked off (probably the kids ran into it).
I should probably try and find the driverside, might be in the trunk, or burried in the dirt Robert
