Problem with interior door handles

I am getting ready to fixing my door cards and replacing broken clips. I also have a problem where my interior door handles take some force to open doors. Aside from that, they stick in the "open" position and because of this the doors don't close. It seems like there may have been a spring inside that has gone missing. Anybody else having the same problems? Are there any solutions?

Never heard of that one. First thing would be to lube it all up.

open the door, look into the "latch" area on the door itself, and spray an appropriate lube. work the latch a few times..spray again. I used white lithium spray and this solved my issue a year ago
