Bleeding a Racing Jack (Brunnhoelzl)
I have a longacre/brunnhoelzl racing jack (6 pump). Issue i'm having is it now takes 11 pumps to reach the top. When i pump, it doesnt start to rise till i'm about halfway down. Is there a proper way to bleed this jack? I cant find any online instructions. I found a generic way to bleed but it didnt work.
Procedure - remove fill screw, pump all the way up, release till flat (repeat 3 times) then pump 5 times, fasten fill screw and release. Thanks Franklin

I dont have the jack you have, but here is what i have always done, and it has always worked for me.
Loosen bleed screw, while valve is closed, and jack is at the bottom position. Pump jack to the top. Close bleed screw, let it down. At that point, the jacks i have experience with always worked like new.

Alex, did you ever rebuild the jack? was it an easy job?
The jack is now leaking fluid...from the spring/piston area. Just got off the phone with Brunnhoelzl and they can rebuild it for $275, or sell me a $75 seal kit. Thanks Franklin
