Holes in Muffler = Idling Problem?
Is this possible? My muffler is all rusted up and has a huge hole in it (as well as smaller ones on the actual tips). *Just recently my idling problem has gotten worse, and I notice more of a "rumbling" throughout the entire car (which appears to be originating from the muffler). I'm planning on replacing the O2 sensor and the fuel filter this Friday, and my SuperSprint exhaust is still in transit (!). I think that should help, if not, I'm gonna replace the rubber hoses for possible vacuum leaks. Do you guys think I'm on the right track? Thanks.
*The car starts up strong, then immediately dies (possibly because it's cold)? When I start it up again, it idles somewhat high for a little while at first, then warms up to where it fluctuates up and down, but very low (to the point where it almost dies again...)
