Single CD player wont work/connect on my old cassette player

You obviously didn't investigate better about the matter. There are several CD players that only work with certain model years. One of the problems is the connector shape. Search for threads about it and you'll see. Qsilver7 even added a nice diagram with pictures and all.

Cable adapter BMW P/N 61-12-6-913-954
Antenna adapter BMW P/N 61-12-6-913-955
Main cable harness BMW P/N 61-12-6-913-957

i am going to my local bmw dealership tomorrow
