MKIV loses power

Its been happening ever since I got the car, hit a bump and the MKIV display dies in the car

Tracked it to the actual dvd unit losing power

Radio still works for hours after dvd computer shutdown from lop

Tried replacing plug, dielectric grease, disassembly and cb cleaning

Still loses power

Any suggestions other than buying replacement

And before you say use search I already did

TIA

did you check your battery?, did you recently install others features in your car? (DVD players, HID FOG LIGHTS, etc.....), did you check your alternator?

He's talking about the NAV. Not a VW!

LOL, check the connections in the back of the head unit and the control module in the trunk.

Check the wiring to make sure you have no shorts or opens(the power may ground out)/

Or worst case, you have a dying unit. Good Luck!
