Edit..... I have done an awful job on updating my thread so I'll just start over here with my list of parts.
94 325i
M3 front bumper, sideskirts, moldings and mirrors
FK front adjustable coilover suspension
ASA AR1 18" wheels(will be picking up a more performance set of wheels that can offer me more tire)
Interior is gutted but in the process of cleaning everything up to not look so junky. I believe I have it down to around 2500lbs maybe a little more. I have not weighed it so I can't so for sure.
Block/rotating assembly
Freshened up stock bore(88) mustang 302 block
May reuse forged pistons/rods with new rings and bearings(This is where I am still undecided)
Probably go with stock 302 polished crank (original crank looks awful)
Cam undecided(I have a b303 but want something a little more updated)
New timing chain/sprocket and all that mess
Top end (I have this part figured out)
Trick Flow twisted wedge 170 aluminum heads(unported)
1:6 Comp cams roller rockers
Valves and valve springs are also trick flow forget the specs
Tmoss ported GT40 lower intake
Stock Cobra upper intake
70mm trottle body
Fuel/Tuning
MSD distributor(nonthing fancy)
24 pound fuel injectors
Cobra MAF matched to injectors
Off the shelf tune
Transmission/Clutch flywheel
Stock T5
upgraded clutch
stock weight flywheel
3.91 LSD
Aluminum driveshaft
Exhaust
Rear dump 1 5/8 primary headers(block huggers) Have quite a bit of work to do on these to make them work.
Not sure if I want a dual 2.5" inch with xpipe or single 3" all the way back yet
Muffler/Cat undecided but I am hung up on installing electronic cutouts.
Car will be used for street/strip but primarily for fun. After I get the engine sorted and running I will refresh all the bushings and switch to a higher quality coilover setup. I'm very particular so everything on the car will either be cleaned to look brand new or replaced never to see rain again lol. I have made lots of changes over the years even almost gave up a few times but thankfully decided not to. It will be running before summer 2014 for some drag racing abuse!
Well I just pulled the motor today

Are all the e36 5.0's white?
Looks like I'll be the 2nd in TN to get started on this.
Still looking for a good donor car, have everything else. Do you know of anything around in your part of TN?
Actually, I'm looking for black or silver.
What mods will be done to the 5.0 you plan on dropping in?
why not?
no worries. My swap will be Brilliantrot
If you don't mind, snap me a nice up close detailed picture of the entire fuel rail. Or basically the top of the engine with the upper intake off (if you plan on taking it off). I want to see where exactly the feed and return attachments to the fuel rail are located on the reversed intake 5.0's.
I'm not the keenest on running fuel lines all over the car, which is one thing I don't like about this swap with the standard Mustang fuel rail. I was hoping the towncar/crownvic/etc.. fuel rails would have the inlet and outlets pointed more towards the drivers side of the car for better attachment of the fuel lines.
Thanks.
On that motor, the intake is more restrictive, and it is probably not roller cammed.
If you are interested in selling those low-po exhaust manifolds from that motor, let me know. I need them for my jeep.
In regards to the fuel rail issue- the mustangs had the connections at the front pass side of the motor. The trucks and explorers had the connections at the back of the motor and they are angled towards the driver's side. I used the truck rail on my 351w in my jeep because I didn't want fuel lines running all over the place.

Thanks, I appreciate it. The drawings in the chilton's manuals are not always the greatest reference to go off of, I like to see things.
That's very good to know, thanks for the information. I'll add it to the list of stuff to remember that I've been keeping for this project.

Nice, So are you using the available mounts? Or fabbing your own stuff?
as cheap as the 5.0 struff is its not worth makking them yourself.
