Not really a race.

Formula 1 makes normal cars look like geo metros.

I think the whole point of the video was more of comparison between F1 and road car performance rather than a real race (which any 3 year old can tell it's no contest). Obviously, even a top end road going sports car like the m5 has to make compromises in areas of safety, fuel efficiency and emissions regulation, things that are of less concern for a pure racing machine like a F1 car. If you have to make less compromises, then of course your car's peformance can be leaps and bounds ahead of a road car. This whole demonstration was to show what it is like to have uncompromised performance.

Ill use any excuse to listen to an F1 car!!

I appreciated this video. Often times, brands with brag about the incorporation of F1-inspired technology and performance. But, this really shows you how far you are from the real deal.

Awesome to see them up against each other. It would be a once in a lifetime experience to drive an F1 car. Something I doubt I'll ever have the chance to do. The sounds that those things make are phenomenal. I would love to make it out to an F1 race sometime and actually hear those cars in person.

That show is dumb and so was this race or whatever you want to call it. Whatever they are trying to prove is seen in every race when the safety car comes out, so I am not sure what breakthrough information they expected to find here. Just a publicity stunt I guess, but a dumb one at that.
