I-Prepared #008 Enduro Win at NHMS video!

Sit on the passenger seat and experience the thrill of capturing the checkered flag after 45 minutes of pure racing! Tyler Munroe gets his first overall win on his rookie year at the 45 minute enduro race at NHMS.

Figured i would add the Munroe boys video to this thread. Nice job guys! (and great job Dan!!) You got good students there.

So little torque, that rain or no rain, you just keep your foot to the floor around the entire track.

Thanks for posting Mig. Beutiful job on the video and the editing. I would say to anybody who has the oppotunity to rent a camera from Veloz media to do so. Great guys...great work. Thanks guys. BTW the car was pushed out in the rain the day before and one of the plug holes must of had water in it thats why the ass wipping in the power sections early on. It eventually cleared out and then it was fun. As you can see NHMS is not a bad track at all...we need more to come next year.

Thanks. But what if I'm scared to race you on your home turf? Hopefully they dont schedule it on a weekend there's an NAC somewhere else. Congrats on the overall.

There are talks for an Enduro. A 'more than 45 min enduro'. And we are hoping to be very careful about scheduling. Or at least we (racers) would want the board to be careful. LOL. At least a couple of us would love to have a big field again like, what, 4 yrs ago??

and by the way....all this cheating talks make me want to build a freaking JS car! Forget CM. Blah. Maybe i'll show up on CM and just change the class letters to JS. HA HA!

OH! and Lawn Party at the Munroes.

Thanks Tyler - that was awesome and you had a great drive to the front!

I have to say that was probably the best 1st lap of my racing career - 11th to 3rd in two corners! I still have a little giggle thinking about it...

The Munroe family was there in force, with two sons co-driving the the DE, one of whom was at his first event. I happened to have both as students.

I don't know squat about racer development, but I saw some real talent. Impressive family.

Tyler: how's the motor in the DE car?

Thanks Dan I appreciate that. Like I told you before that is a VERY EXPENSIVE compliment!!! The DE motor, not sure working on plow trucks now so I can afford the cars next year. Let it snow!!!

The Munroe Family: Their Love for Speed
By nature, the Munroes are a very dynamic family; they are in constant search for exhilarating activities and experiences, and will not stop until they have finally found the kind of vigorous activities that will keep their adrenaline pumping. Tyler Munroe is not the only one who is getting hooked in race cars; his kids are also jumping into the bandwagon and enjoying the experience and are taking the full advantage to play race car ways in controlled driving events.

LOL. I see a documentary brewing!!

Thanks Tyler. I think we would have damn good time. I would be game to try out NHIS. Next year is still up in the air and depends entirely on how much money I got left over after I complete a within town relocation in about 7 weeks.

Thanks for adding fuel to the kids fire Mig. They will enjoy as much speed as their father can afford!!! I tell my wife I was put on this earth to provide the opportunities I did not have. First college and now this. How do you spell RETIRE ?????? However it is both thrilling and fullfilling to have them at the track with me.

Thanks. I must say though I have had good influences this year. Remember I cut my racing teeth in NER SCCA this early season and I was around Fater Dan Maynard and son Dave Maynard of 3D Autoworks...not any better show than that one in my book. Great race team and family. Good guys and good racing examples I must say. Helped me so much this year, kind words, dirty hands helping me with the car and fast driving. Mr Shuster from Ohio is on the same road with son Ryan from what I can see. oing to be fun to watch in the future!!!!

Tyler: Awesome job. We were lucky to avoid Jake's fate with the blend line black flag. They were being really strict that morning. I don't really agree with the rule, because I feel that by the apex of 2b you're already blended with the traffic and you would be best to just squeeze on the throttle and point any traffic by. But I don't make the rules.

Listen to how you have to feather the throttle after T2b, T8 (top of hill), and (to some extent) T11. In a car with your power to grip ratio, you will be faster if you are a little slower in and/or later on the apex.

Be sure to set up T2b late enough to get squeeze on full throttle at the apex or shortly after.

In T7, stay left another half breath after the cone on the left so that you delay the turn to the right. This will put you about 3' off the cone on T7 cone on the right and straighten out the top of the hill so you'll be able to carry more throttle over the hill. You'll be going faster, so be prepared to hammer the brakes as soon as the wheel is straight and the car settles from the hill, lest you go off in T9.

If you can carry a little less speed out of T10, you'll be able to squeeze on more throttle on the short chute between T10 and T11. Try to get as far to the right as you can, ideally keeping the left tire off the left berm on the entry to T11. This will give you a shallower entry to T11, allowing you to apex earlier and faster, carrying more speed on to the front straight.

I guess you did hear me about pushing hard.

Jake: That was your second session on any track?!! Great job.

**We have the technology and have used it. We do not if we are not asked for it. Some clubs do not want the conversations recorded for whatever reason. Im sure there are some valid ones...but if anyone asks for it to be recorded, student and instructor agree, we are there!
