Removing throttle cable from inside car?

Trying to change out my clutch master cylinder right now and can't figure out to get the throttle cable out. It seems like it just slips out but it won't slip all the way off. Can anyone help?

the throttle cable is hooked ot hte clutch master? man, i am going to have to go look at that. i don't think i have ever seen that on a car.

are you just trying to pull the cable through the firewall or something? it might have one of those s looking ends on it that hook into the pedal arm by angling it almost at a 90 to the arm and sliding it in

well the throttle cable on my 78 320i vin 5414322, if that helps narrow it anymore. It was a plastic clip that you squeeze both sides from the interior side and you push it out towards the engine. kinda like a spring clip but its plastic. the cable then attached to the hook on the accelerator pedal lever. Mine had no attachment points beyond the accelerator hookup, the clip through the firewall and the throttle hookup. While i am using an 82 320i motor, i still used the 2.0L manifold and therefore the older (longer) cable. i can't quite recall if my 82 320i came out the same way.
