Bay Area Cage builder????

Does anybody know of a place that can build a cage for a car in the bay area for a decent price? I have a car in Sunnyvale that needs a cage. I can either tow it to a certain location or can have someone work on-site. Even if you yourself has experience, I will consider after seeing some personal work.

Thanks,
-Rick

You are looking for none other than Tony at TC Design in Milpitas. I've had him build a bolt-in bar and a weld-in half cage for me and his work is simply the best. I think there will be many other votes for him as well.

+1

He does cages for a lot of club racers out there, as well as rollbar for many track day cars. Go to a track day and you'll TCDesign stickers on many of the cages out there.

I'll take the medium ground and say I've seen both Tony and Luke's work. Can't go wrong with either.

+1 TCDesign fab... I designed their helmet logo... so I am biased.

But TONY has done cages and work for BMWs race cars soooo... that's a pretty big deal... note TCDesign logo on rear bumper (Right under the Moton one). And if you guys get bored... notice the LOOK of that race car. I did it.

What have you seen a small cage go for price wise with those guys?

ill try to find out today if you want. but the best would just be to call them/just go there and talk to them... and that way you get to see the built 2010 GM/hankook drift camaro all done before anybody else!!!!

yea not to mention they are officially making i guess one of the only bolt in roll bars for the e46's and mini coopers (maybe a couple other cars) courtesy of luke. the roll bar is bolted to all existing holes in the cars and is linked to a custom rear strut bar(part of the roll bar) so there is absolutely no modifying of your interior.

Similar response as Shultz28, but re: TCDesign. Just go by the shop and talk to Tony. Each car/project is different.

Jim - both cars below have been worked on at some point by TCD...as has the driver

I dont know about you, but the guy doesnt even prep the end of the tubing before welding it. If someone cant take the time to clean the end of the tubing of mill scale,etc... to have a good clean weld then I wouldnt want him touching anything on my car.

Here's a non-TCDesign and non-BRRacing recommendation for your roll cage work:
