I forgot to mention, I saw a hawk upclose today.....

My wife and i were on base and saw this little guy on the ground; all thanks to my eagle eye

Anyone know what this is?

I have a hunch but im not sure.

Sorry if my threads are bothering you, i wont make anymore for awhile

My wife was about 10 feet or closer to the hawk!

really cool so thought id share.

Looks like it's got a red tail...so I think it's probably a Red Tailed Hawk.

It is a Golden Eagle. I can get up to 20 lbs and carry goats and stuff off the sides of mountains.

Red tail hawk:

Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing them! Hope the bird steers clear of aircraft.

I seem to see a lot of hawks in my driving around WA and OR for my sales job...seems to be a lot of road kill and rodents available along our highways... lol

I was going with hawk but that's my extremely uneducated guess.

Nice pics though! I'm sure you posted it in one of your other 100 picture threads, but what cam was used?
