Optimal Place to Run a Bunch of Wires Through the Firewall?

Anyone got any suggestions? I haven't really looked around yet, but as usual I'm hoping to benefit from the learning of others before I dig in!

TIA!

Thad

why??? umm i would suggest looking behind the glove compartment and under the airbox on the passender side youll see the ecu and stuff under the white box once you take out the screws probably some pre cut holes to and from the firewall

Why? Just because, no reason. . .

I think I'll take your advice on looking around on the front side of the firewall to see where the DME wires go through. Maybe that will give me a start on things.

Thanks!

I would normally assume car stereo install but uh, we have BMWs so I havent a clue.

There are pre-cut holes in your firewall. Search. If you dont want to search just look in from your engine bay - some are pre cut, some are perforated. There are a few of them in there.

What are you saying to search? Are you saying to search for a thread on point somewhere? If so, have you seen anything from which you remember some good search terms? I'll take a crack at it with "through firewall" or something like that and see what comes up. I honestly didn't search this, as I didn't figure it would have been a thread.

I'll be taking a few things apart soon to finally do a valley pan and valve covers, so I'll poke around then.

Thanks!

Thad

Not sure if I saw the thread here or on M5boards but I did see a thread pertaining to this recently, with a photo included. I did a quick search and couldnt find anything but I am sure you will find it be it in a thread or just poking around looking in the engine bay
