Getting ready to make my first M3 purchase in SoCal

I had a beautiful 1979 911SC that I've had to get rid of. Reason: I have a son who's 1.5 years and just found out that there another in the oven on low on it's way. So...that happened.

Anyway, found a nice E36 M3 Sedan automatic...for the wife if she needs to drive it. But, it would be my daily driver.

What a good price for this ride?

92K miles.
White on black, interior a 9 out of 10.
Exterior a 9.5 out of 10
Engine 9.5 out of 10

Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Mike.

if it truly is in as good as condition as you claim, I think 10000 and up. Probably 11-12000 considering that most are not in that good condition.

Did you inspect this vehicle yourself or get a PPI?

really depends on maintenance
most important thing that needs to be done by now is that the cooling system has been replaced in its entirety. There's an Edge 75k mile checklist on this section. If the cooling hasn't been done it will cost you $1k if you have it done by a mechanic, and if you're handy you could do it for half. Either way, it NEEDS to be done, even if it "works" right now.

Seen that checklist. And thanks for the words of wisdom. Funny, the car is actually in Glendale. Have you seen it? It's at DreamCars right on Central below Colorado. If you have any spare time maybe you could take a look and see if it's a good car.

looks like I found it.
From the picture it looks in good condition, the lenses are clear no fogging up. So it was mostly garaged. The lip and moldings are very black as well. Owner curbed that front passenger wheel. Sunroof tilt works, and its probably all stock considering it has amber corners instead of clears. So there's a good chance it'll be owned by someone that took care of it. Just make sure the paperwork/maintenance is in order. Also, its on the high side on price IMO.

unfortunately I don't have much time to check it out with school all day and studying all night. Otherwise I'd check it out.

Autos aren't really that bad of a car.

If it's as good as you say it is...I'd say 11-12 would be a good price.

Hell no, 14K is way too much, not unless it has a new engine. M3 are way cheap here in SoCal and there are plenty of them. Many many cars under 10K with under 100K.

I agree.
Depends on the area.

I missed out on that car. It actually sold for 11K, so not too high considering the condition and that is was under 95,000 miles.

Oh well, my search continues.
