FS: '97 M3 GTS3/CM Racer
Price Drop - $SOLD! - still potentially interested in trades listed at bottom.
For Sale or Trade for Street E36 - Details at bottom Well, after spending nearly a year and all of my resources putting together my dream machine, I think it is wise for me to sell it. I am not going to have time to race it, and need the money to fund a business venture. I have owned the car for almost all of its life, and its been great to me. It was sad, but very nice, to build a racer out of such a nice street car. It was built to go after the top of GTS3 and also be able to run in CM. Runs right at the limit of GTS3 with stock engine internals! I only got it out on track one day, which resulted in laptimes within tenths of the fastest GTS3 cars in my group – this with horsepower being choked down by ~25 in order to run old Koni tires, and with no ABS. The potential in the car is huge to go out right away, or use it as a great base to really chase down the top spot. As its pretty new it could use a final weekend of sorting, but its pretty much ready to go run right away. Its very clean looking with the interior painted with very tough white epoxy based paint. In the last session on the day I spun the car and tagged another GTS car’s door with the front right, casuing minor body damage (nothing structural at all – I have pics before any work was done). I did hit the other car at full opposite lock so the tie rod required replacement. I am fitting a new nose panel, then fender really doesn’t need to be replaced nor does the hood – currently working on touching them up. Front bumper is in rough shape do to being towed through tall grass and the splitter grabbing. Anyways, the damage was cosmetic and not bad at all – just wanted to mention this because I don’t have the time to bring it back to showroom. Body/Chasis: -Built from clean 92k mile street car – At the Limit of GTS Power to Weight – With stock engine! -2520 lbs. with ¼ tank – stock hood and trunk, rear doors skinned, front door gutted except impact bars -AC system, Heater Core, OBD2 equipment all removed -Custom cage ties in rear sub-frame and includes driver and passenger-side foot protection bars 1 ¾” DOM .095 wall - Cage also tie to A pillars, B pillars, roof, and side sills. -Rear shock mounts capped and tied into cage – ready for rear coilovers -Front Towers have had reinforcements welded on -Cage main hoop welded to roof structure, Gussets between B Pillar and Main Hoop, gussets between A Pillar and front legs. - All Tar and most seam sealer have been removed -All Non-essential wiring is gone and replaced – fuse/relay box is fully modular with Weatherpak connectors throughout -Toggle Ignition, Fuel, Start, Lights, and Wipers. - Nicely painted bright white with Epoxy paint -Welded harness and sub-belt mounts -Custom welded battery box with Braille 6 lb battery. -Extra tabs/brackets etc. all removed. All that is needed to complete is the harness (plug-in), which many people on the forum have sourced for about $150. I am pricing this to sell quickly and not screw around. I know where the market has gone for race cars this year and I can’t believe I am willing to sell for this. $SOLD – Seller Finacing Possible - I have over $24,000 into this in the last year to build in addition to ~450 hours of hard labor. Will Trade + Cash - If you have a streetable E36 M3 mods or stock and thinking about moving to a full race car - save yourself a ton of money and headaches. Minimum cash to me would have to be about $5,000. Needs to be a manual trans, beyond that i am open to hearing what you have. I am sure there are some moving parts in the trade we can work out. Thanks. Will be available to check out in the next few weeks! Please email at the address in my sig. Thanks! EXTRA Carbon Fiber Wing : The venture I am starting up is Brooks Motorsport Composites LLC. And am making very nice carbon race wings for E36/46 - I am running the first production batch for Feb-March delivery and will include this wing with the car, if my price is met. Retail is going to be about $900 Please see this link for one of the final prototypes testing on Scott. B’s car. http://brooksmotorsport.com/final_testing.html

All these pictures taken today, as you can see the damage was pretty minor - i have some more that i can't get to format correctly - will work on that. Replacing nose panel so, i removed the front end to give a good look as it is this moment, will put back together next weekend.
You can also see on my dash, there is a Bosch Motorsport wide band lambda meter, which i did not list previously. Also, as previously mentioned one of my wings will be included if the asking price is met. Please email me with any questions. Thanks As you can see the fuse/relay box is gone. just two wires running from the x22 to the car. makes a ton of room in there, replaced firewall hol with carbon fiber blacnk plate. strut towers are capped with welded 16 ga. steel and where then painted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() as you can see the spare well is gone - which is handy because the diff fluid can be changed with out jacking the car. Also, make diffs swaps many times faster. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() as you can see the inside damage ti the wheel well is minimal, non to the structure. ![]() ![]() gussets to cage on A and B pillars ![]() ![]() bumper - for you see damage - still useable but not all that pretty great spare-- reinforced inside wit hsome carbon fiber and resin. ![]()
