Right. Because you were too busy to f**king search and bump up any one of a million reposts with your sentiments on the video you just apparently saw on this new thing [to you] called the Internet. Instead, you wanted to be "cool" and "original," and start your own thread, and look like a clueless n00b in the process.

Awesome.

oh i searched buddy ran through 10 pages and no hits. and this may be hard for you to believe but new people join this forum every day, and haven't been on here for 6 years as yourself, and if the video was posted back in 2007 thats close to over 2 years of new members including myself who may have never seen this video. i found it interesting and kinda funny so i posted if you dont think so then noone has a gun to your head making you click the mouse, let alone chime in with your grand wisdom of all things "internet". thank you. Now... shew fly.

oh edit: do me a favor and run thru your own threads and count how many times you see the word "repost" i lost count around 100 or so.... i do my research, something you might want to try.

btw you should refer to: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=974196

He didn't actually get caught. Look at the end, its exactly the same as when he made a u-turn. Same sign, same bridge and they removed the timer. It's just video edited. (i'm writing this from memory as I can't view it currently so I may be a little off.)

It is old, but either way, I enjoi'd seeing it again. Saves waiting for it to air on cops again.

The bimmer didn't break down and the kid wasn't caught. I took a screen shot of his u-turn and when it "broke down". Seems very similar to me

Edit: I actually timed my screen shot perfectly, if you zoom in the first pic the image is exactly the same and fails to show the timer. Same sign, same truck in opposite lane and the two things sticking up in the background are the same.

On the show they just repeated the clip before he made a u-turn. Nothing ever happened to the car and the driver was never caught, there is some video from a different episode where the narrator says they never caught the kid.

Took me 5 minutes to find what's below. And it's not even nearly a tenth of what's been posted on here. If you were that "concerned" about people seeing it who haven't because they've been in a coma for the past decade, you could have brought back up any of of these other threads.

I'll even arrange it by year:

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=187721 - 2004

First response to the 2004 thread:

And just so you know, [in my second response] I was just responding in kind to your unneccesarily defensive response to my sarcasm in the beginning. You could have just acknowledged that indeed, you are a poor searcher and left it at that. Instead you chose to justify why you are stupid, further confirming that you are.

The kid was actually caught and arrested a few days later at his house. I believe his dad may have made him turn himself in but not sure. The M3 was his dad's track car as he was an instructor. Yes he wasn't "caught" during the pursuit but he didn't totally get off with it...

Yeah, his dad did make him turn himself him in but the police didn't actually catch him. I don't know what the laws are for something like that, usually nothing happens because the police have no proof to who was driving at the time.

seen this video a million times but it always makes me laugh. "bavarian hot-rod", "supercharged" sounds like they we're trying to make this e30 m3 look like god! except it's no match for the ls1, so they say. I also love how they made 5.7 sound like crazy fast, well actually in the 80/90's that was so nevermind.

There are so many things wrong with that show.

Fact-checking is not just a foreign concept, it's actively avoided. From this video alone: "When the beemer [sic] guns its 240hp engine" - You looked up specs on the wrong generation BMW M3 genius. "The Camaro's 350 horses" Wut? The LT1s had 275 or 285 depending on year, and there's no way the chip the cop talked about added 65hp. Somebody read the "cubic inches" line of the LT1 description and used that as the horsepower. Then of course there's the blatant lie through re-editing to show the M3 getting caught instead of getting away (for the time) like really happened.

They once described a 90hp early 80s RX-7 as a "high horsepower sportscar"...

Even the slightest maneuver gets squealing tires dubbed over it.

So true, but the LS1 actually does have 350hp at the crank (not wheels though) unless this is a early 90's camaro then yes your right. this show is F'ed up. haha
