installation inpa ediabas failed vagcom cable
hi im trying to install the inpa ediabas i followthe instruccions on the ediabas inpa installation setup pdf.
but im getting this error after everything is installed and i click on the icon inpa (ipo) and i get this ![]()

As you can see from that picture you didn't install usb drivers completely..
Update driver from picture (usb to serial) from same location where you started.. Then you can continue with inpa, by the way which version do you have? |

the installation is complete but nothing!

Desktop, my computer, right click, properties, advanced, click on "environment variables", look down at system variables and find "path".
Edit path and add ;c:\ediabas\bin at the end of line. Save apply close and run inpa ipo again. ![]() |

i did that at the beginning fo installation
after i finish installing inpa ediabas it shows succesfull but im getting that error. could it be that is not compatible with windows 64 bits

Reboot ? I've removed my path variable and got same problem as you have..
try to reboot and check again. |

Ummm that could be problem... you could try properties at target file inpa.exe or link at your desktop and running it in WinXp compatibility .. could work .. dunno

2 questions
1 the comport should be comport1 or comport6 is ok as in mine ![]() 2 inpa ediabas software should open even without the cable connected to the obd port on my car?

Yes on both.
Com1 is default, but you can change it to ComXX which also needs to change ediabas.ini and/or obd.ini files. If it doesn't run on 64bit windows, make dual boot and install winxp should work .. |

If you can't run software its useless to do anything more...
To change com port, go properties on that "usb to serial", advanced... and select desired com port from drop down list... |

im downloading vmware workstation so i can install windows 32 bit into windows 64bits
ok i download vmware and install xp 32bits and follow the instructions posted and it runs flawless it read every module on my e39 now im trying to figure out how to be abel to code my locks on my door? do i have to install ncs expert?
