I thought at 23 your insurance goes down?

I'm getting sick of getting raped, 23 two cars insured:

1995 540I
1991 318I

No collision, lowest possible insurance. $370/per month.

So I take it it's impossible for someone to own a new car that is fully insured until they are 30? If I'm paying $300 for two old cars with no collisions I'm probably going to pay $1000ish for a new car + financing/lease $1500/month?

I'm pulling like $98,000/year with cheap rent and can't afford $1500/month on a car.

So what the hell? Are all kids with new cars making $150,000+/year?

i dont know. what is your driving record like? tickets? accidents? claims?

i always heard that it went down at 25, but when i hit 25 despite having a clean record, i didnt see any decrease in price. when i said hey i thought at 25 it went down, they told me it really doesnt drop until 30

My insurance went down when I was 25. It also depends on your driving record and your location. I am paying 250 a month to insure 3 cars with full coverage and 2 drivers. My insurance "went down" because I got married. I added my wife and her car and it went up from 180 a month with my two cars and myself as the driver to 250 a month.

I have a Supra TT and a SRT4, both full comprehensive, glass, high limits, and $500 deductible for $150 a month. I own both cars, live on my own, etc (not under my parent's insurance). I'm 24.

Last year when I was 23 with the Supra and the Corolla (just liability), my insurance was ~$90 a month lol

lol I pay $270/month for liability on my 88 325is on my parents insurance! But I've also totalled 2 cars and have had up to 5 points(only 1 now ) on my license at one time, and I'm 21. So I guess considering all the factors, I have a pretty good rate

But as far as your question goes, I'm pretty sure it's 25.

Let's see, I'm 26 but signed up for my Hagerty policy on my 323i when I was still 25 - it's about $300 / year with $0 comp / collision, and liability / uninsured is 100/300/100. Of course, that's not exactly comparable, since it's a collector car, limited use policy.

My '88 E24 is insured under Progressive as a regular use vehicle, liability / uninsured motorist only (100/300/100), and my premium is 132 / 6 months or $22 / month. Progressive has a pretty significant discount for paying in full as opposed to monthly, as well as a decent discount for multiple vehicle policies. Of course, I also have a 0 claim history as well as a flawless driving record. I have NOT seen any reduction in rates from when I moved to Houston when I was 23.

NYC has some of the highest rates in the country. IIRc 25 is the lower my rates age.

With that being said. I pay approx $200 a month for full coverage. NJM ftw.

It's your location porsche. I don't know if you mentioned, but do you have any tickets or accidents? Your is certainly high, maybe try making your home address at a family members out of the city and see how that goes. Not too honest, but not far fetched.

You make 98k a year? Go buy something newer in my opinion and just have a car payment and insurance. No left field maintenance repairs.

Just talked to mlee4984, it looks like I have two ran stop signs and an accident on my record. So it kind of makes sense even tho one stop sign thing was bullshit and accident was not my fault (side swiped by I shit you not a Maserati making a turn at about 60mph in 30mph street).

I would get a new car but I do not like to be in debt, saving up first
