My new Euro E36 Daily!

I'm pretty excited about this car. I bought it cause i loved the interior. Once i actually drove it, i was pleasantly surprised how much power it has. Then i poped the hood and saw that it's got some nice quality parts on it too!

Some things i don't like about the car:

-kidney's, i always liked the 95 grille better, but this one all chrome looks gawdy
- not sure about the color matched moldings. it looks nice, but it think black M moldings would work well.
- Not so hott on the wheels. I have some ideas that will really look nice, but i need to find a set first. wheels are for sale BTW, make me an offer!
- Something in the suspension is off. the car darts left or right. it will pull left, then if i jerk the wheel ti will pull right or vise versa. I think this might be CA bushings, but i'm not sure, any suggestions?
- radio doesn't work. the PO twice removed pulled an amp out of the car so all those speakers in the door are just for decoration. I'm debating between replacing them, or just hooking up an amp... hmmm.
- the deck is one of those cheap pioneers with the super bright blue lights. hella annoying at night.
- seat heaters don't work
- A/C doesn't work
- muffler is really boomy at most all RPM's

even with all that said, i love this new car!

edit: photoshop can suck a fattie! the picks look so much brighter before i uploaded into photoshop

Sounds like a new muffler, stock head unit and you'll be all set.

As for the moldings, I don't like painted moldings but these don't bother me. Black might look better but it looks okay to me.

The grills need to go for something a little less flashy, as you said. They look like aftermarket jobs so you may have a pre-96 nose panel in there.

If it were me I'd lose those door speakers.

Great wheels. Too bad you aren't a fan. How much do you want for them? Size?

the muffler is aftermarket already, but looks kinda cheapo. I'm not sure what i'd like to replace it with. I'm trying not to dump money into this as i have to sell it in 1.5 years.

Same for me abou the moldings. i think it looks pretty good and i'm usually anti painted moldings. I just wish it had the thicker moldings all the way around.

Grills are the first thing i'm going to change. how do you tell if the nose pannel is pre or post 96? the car has a build date in 95, so i think it's a MY96. plus it's a 328, not a 325...

i'd like to loose the door speakers, but it's been hacked up behind them, so i'd have a really ugly pannel otherwise.

I'm not really a fan of the hartge's, i dunno why. The car has KW coil overs on it and it's sitting about 1/2 way down. I'm thinking of a nice set of wheels with good dish, some streatch, some poke and slam. Then i can join all the stancewerks hooligans.

the rear tires are brand new, the fronts have tread, but the shoulders are worn. all teh wheels have salt corrosion on lips. Strip the clear and polish the lips and they would look great. I think $650+shipping for the wheels and new rear tires is a fair price.

edit: anybody know what mirrors are on the car?

don't blame photoshop if you don't really know how to use it.
more than likely it's photobucket's fault or even the web browser.

I don't think I've ever seen those mirrors before, either. They don't look bad.

Seeing euro e36s makes me really want to shave the roundels of my car, looks really clean.

Hartge rims are I've always loved them.

But I don't have $650

Car looks good man. Just replace the grilles. The painted moldings don't look bad.

Aftermarket deck with built in amplifier will erase the need for the stock amp in the trunk.

yeah, the color is unique, never seen it before. and the interior is so much more comfortable than the dove grey vaders in my old 95 M3.

I do believe it's a schrick manifold

there is already an aftermarket deck in the car. there is evidence of an aftermarket amp that was removed. I just need to pull the deck out and see what wires are running to where and go from there.

I dunno. I noticed the driverside headlight was discolored. the driverside fog doesn't work. I was going to investigate this when i have some extra time, but with the HID's in there it's plenty bright.

Oh yeah, i realized today that all the windows are tinted... including that big one in the front

Dunno, even little things like the intake volume and such can effect a motor, I guess Schrick figures if you're serious enough to run their cams, you should run their intake to get the absolute most out of the engine.

Those are no ACS mirrors - I think they're the uber rare Folger Cup mirrors, only ever saw one pic of these, so I'm not too sure, but they def. aren't Schnitzer. The Schnitzers are way more rounded.

You a native or just stationed here in Germany?
You got a pretty impressive stable of cars.
