Software with Interface (including Security Dongle) US $335.00
Shipping is free to the USA (inc HI, AK & PR), to Canada add US $16.00 and worldwide add US $26.00.
Software is the genuine article, supplied by CarsoftWest who are Carsoft authorised distributors, so it includes warranty etc. Normal recommended retail according to Carsoft's website is about US $360 for software only or US $580 for software plus interface (which does not include shipping) so I think this is a good deal.

I have just been advised that CarsoftWest will hold price on this deal with a minimum group buy of only 25 units. If you have a later model (i.e. 2003 - 2008), I think this deal is too good to miss.

David, I know we've spoken in the past, however I've got a million and one things going on.
What if we don't have a later model? Would you suggest 8.0, or sticking with the old 6.5?

s car v6.5 will do for an E36 or early E46, but what about in 2 years when you decide to upgrade? I always seem intent on owning cars for the rest of my life, but based on previous history, I only wind up keeping most of them 2 - 4 years. I have v6.5, v7.3, v7.35 and now v8.0 (which is far and away the best of them all as it uses a graphical user interface rather than the old windows lookalike).

with the upgraded version, would you need a new interface? or can you just buy the new version and use the old interface?

The security dongle contains both hardware and coded program information required to make the software functional. As far as I have been able to determine, there is no current technology available to copy or emulate the function of a dongle and neither Carsoft v7.3.5 or v8.0 will function without one.

I don't know that seller, but it is the genuine software, with interface and security dongle. You can view the product on CarsoftWest's website.

I am in if that is true and I looked at the eBay site. What do we receive? I am guessing the same stuff that was in the eBay item?

My order came in last week. You get Carsoft 7.3.x install disk, Dongle, Cable set, note with a link to v8 download, and another cd with a readme and tools to help set up the COM ports.
I installed v7.3 first, but I think you can go directly to v8 by downloading it, then starting the install process.

would a USB adaptor need to be purchased seperately? Can I use this freely on any BMW besides my DD? How long are the cables?

If your machine doesn't have a com port, yes, you will need to buy a usb adapter. I've used it on a couple of cars so far, no issues. I don't have exact measurements, but each cable is about 4 feet long. Certainly long enough to use the round connector under the hood and have the laptop inside the car.

Just stopped by to address a comment. Carsoft v8.0 was released 1.5 weeks ago as an upgrade, via web download, without drivers for the security dongle so you had to have v7.3 to run v8.0. No dealers had CD copies of the new version. I was recently informed by Carsoft International that they would add the security dongle drivers to the download today. I recently purchased more Carsoft software liscenses for which I receive an order of coded security dongles and the right to copy the program and distribute via CD. I learned v8.0 didn't have the drivers after testing it while preparing to make Cds for distribution. Once I confirm the v8.0 download contains the security dongle drivers it will be packaged and delivered on CD but until then the purchaser must load v7.3 before loading v8.0.
