non-EH or EH transmission ??

Can you tell by the VIN because I don't have anyway of lifting it right now? I'm getting a throttle switch from pelican parts and the 2 types. EH and non-EH (electric shift right?). What can I do?

Thanks,
Damian

If there is a Sport/Economy/1-2-3 rotary switch next to the gear selector, then you have a ZF4HP22EH. Otherwise, probably a plain old ZF4HP22 (non EH).

Were the EH transmissions only sold in europe? Or was it an option here also?

Well, all I have is the gear shift 1-2-3 and D N R P. No other switchs or knobs(Sports/Econ/1-2-3). Just the window buttons on either side of the gear shifter area. What do ya think? Thank you jmenacker.

I have a bently manual so I know what to look for , but haven't had the car up on some jack stands yet to look at inspection plate.

Is checking/cleaning the AT strainer hard with jack stands?

I wouldn't say it's hard so much as it's a pain in the ass.
