Also, did you use paypal? If you did it's time to file a dispute ASAP.

Im sure he'll come through...

Super nice guy. He drove out of his way late one night to meet a friend of mine to drop off an M5 bumper I bought from him so I wouldn't have to ship it.

If you don't get the situation resolved soon lemme know.. I've got his Cell phone #.

I was talking with him to buy his car to transplant my parts into it, but when I mentioned bringing it across the border and registering it he got really shaddy. Just told me not to worry about it and said im better off not knowing

Guess people will soon have to start using USPS money orders to threaten Federal charges.

i bought a part from his m5 part out, will admit it took a little longer than i would have liked. shipping something 'tomorrow' turned into 'later next week', but in the end the part came. Was a wheel (spare), supposed to be excellent, but had a pretty decent gouge. It was decent, but i'll admit i was a bit disappointed. Then again, it's just a spare...

Considering he had multiple offers from people to buy the car complete, and the fact that he never did disclose what the real story for the part out was, I'd say the whole thing was pretty sketchy.

I hope you get your stuff.

Tim

I was corresponding with him for a bit including an offer to buy the car outright and his answers were always off the wall and nonsensical. When I asked about specific parts and pieces he told me to make him an offer, which I did. Then I never received any sort of response. I would never deal with him myself. Best of luck to you.

This is sounding like a familiar story. I wanted the shell to swap all my parts onto. I got a short response, then realized I wanted the VIN tag with it, even though I didn't need the dash. Never heard another word.

Thats the thing that gets me. So many of us with non working cars doing what we can to scrape them together. It doesn't take too much to be a standup guy. Maybe good shoes and some leg muscles.

I met him in person a couple years back at a BMW meet in Chicago. He is a nice guy and I actually bought the steering wheel off him. I sent him a couple PMs over a 2 day period and the wheel was shipped a couple days later.

I am not sure why he had to sell/part out the car but I wouldn't put the dude even remotely close to the sketchy column based on how I got know him and the BMW enthusiasts I also know he hangs out with in/around Chicago. I am curious though about the cars history given some of the posts above.

Someone needs to ring him and talk to him. Email is not the right forum to get this worked out asap.

I bought my M5 front bumper off of him last year. Nice guy, he met me halfway between Dayton and Chicago.
