    The Story About Track Night!

I just got back from the track ... I decided to take her down the 1320 this evening.

The car performed flawlessly. The weight of the car including my self as the driver, full interior, roll bar, a/c, stereo system in trunk, etc.. weighed in at 3596 lbs

The Stage 1 ICS M3 strolled down the 1320 on a set of 18 inch wheels as you can see in the pictures ASA 18's with horrible AVON Tires 255/30/18's great economy tire but def not a performance tire - drag radial - a hard compound tire.

    The Results:

    RT 3.73

    60 2.378 - no traction whatsoever

    330 5.453

    1/8 7.858

    MPH 102.68

    1000 9.896

    1/4 11.615

    MPH 131.75

The ICS Stage 1 M3 is very capable of 10 second 1/4 times with proper suspension, traction and a skilled driver.

Although I had to shift 5 gears through the 1/4 - it felt kind of cool - I will keep the 338's in the rear for the time being. I will be installing a set of 255/50/16 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials next time out.

Future ICS Goals, Stage 1 Turbo Kit - 10 sec 1/4 mile times - full body, TT Stage 1 330I 12.50's - Stage 2 TT coming soon!

Detailed pictures and video's will be posted on our Website in the very near future.

BTW is anyone is interested in a test drive please send an email for an appointment.

    Thanks for looking

FYI.. The car is tuned for 15 psi, not 17 PSI - yes I took it on my own to raise the boost for testing results, the 570 whp graph on 17 psi was on a base tune. The car did show some knock on pump gas. 1 bar boost (15 PSI) results 530-550 WHP SAE Correction.

I will set up a map sensor and an air fuel monitor on along with WHP and Torque numbers at diff boost levels up to 15 PSI this coming week along with a real video camera.

Nicely done on the stage one kit!!! Any price determined yet that you are willing to post to the public yet?

I love that this kit is using a GT40r... so much room for more.

I can't wait to see pictures of the kit and get a price too..

Remember guys stock motor stock internals.. The connecting Rods are the weak link in these engines. I just want to let you guys know that moving forward this kit may not be for everyone. Don't expect once the kit is installed - let me turn up the boost! I do not recommend turning up the boost more than 15 PSI unless you are prepared to take you car to the next level.

Just because I do it - does not mean it's okay. I am a shop owner who constantly testing the waters.

George, this kit looks bad ass.

Question: In it's current form, is it something you would want to drive daily? Also, other than the obvious; suspension, clutch, brakes, maybe a compression/leakdown test, is there anything else you would recommend I do to prepare my car for this power level, other than perhaps some driving lessons? My maintenance is up to date.

Yes def compression test -leak down test to say the least. The cylinde head has to be removed to install the low compression head gasket - for some reason if the heads needs to be freshened up - then is the time.

RTAB's - Adjustable rear control arms - basically give the car a once over the complete suspension.

You you will def need a clutch kit - which I will discount amongst other items I recommend.

As far as a daily driver - I daily drive mine with a huge grin on my face, my test car has a fully worked suspension which def helps keep the car straight under acceleration and handling.

Send me an email when you are ready to stop by for a road test.
