| 1991 - 1999 (E36) (1991 - 1999) The first modern 3 Series, the E36, was the model that paved the way for the 3 Series to be named "Car of the Year" every year since the model was driving off showroom floors. Radically redesigned in 1992, the E36 was not the same 3 Series as the E21 and E30. Larger, less boxy in design, and equipped with a dual overhead cam engine, multilink rear suspension, and a more finished interior, the E36 balances sport with luxury. |

Cheep Exhaust Piping for E36
Hi im new here, Ive been searching the threads to see if I could find some info on exhaust. What im looking for is a company or person that sells custom exhaust pipes, preferably in sections. What im looking to do is replace the super clustered and annoyingly loud heavy dual exhaust that was put on my car by the previous owner and replace it with a simple more modest system. All I need is piping starting at the headers. ill do the cat back myself with a chambered muffler. CHEAP is what I'm looking for. Any help would be great. Tanks

Just go with a used stock mid-pipe. It will probably be two pipes side-by-side that run down to a single muffler. If you stay stock it will have all the correct flanges, hangers etc and will make it easier to buy/install the muffler you eventually choose. For that matter just go with a used M3 exhaust. Its a little louder than stock e36 but quiet enough to not bother the neighbors. You can pick up a whole system pretty cheap.
