Exclamation Henna Red vs Phoenix Orange

Looking at the old thread for Henna Red (paint code 052) it looks like the cars are all "Hot Rod" red. I always thought that Henna Red was a burnt orange color like a Pantone 165. However Henna Red looks more like the Pantone 185 (at least in the photos in the thread). INKA orange is of course more like Pantone 158.

Has anyone a photo of confirmed Henna Red next to a Phoenix Orange car?

My henna looks absolutely orange under parking lot lights at night. I consider it a deep orange rather than red. In pictures it always looks red and in daylight most people would consider it red. More like the 185 in your chart.

I haven't confirmed this, but I think henna E30 M3's are much more orange (more like 165) than henna e21's (more like 185).

My Henna looked like 158 where paint was original and my resprayed fender and valence looked 165. No way did it look like 185. It was orange tinted yellow, and this yellow tone was very visible under certain lights.

This is where I'm confused- when I see an original Henna Red car (no respray) it is red. When I see a resprayed car, it is orange.

Any pictures of a true Henna Red car next to an orange car?

This is a E30 Henna Red - looks very red

You can start to see some orange is this car:

But this is what I have for color, but its NOT like the two above :

My color changes depending on how the light hits it, but most people think its either quard's red or orange.

A quess there is a cross over between red and orange, although I have always considered them to be very different colors.

If you put a hennarot e30 next to a zinnoberrot one, the henna looks very orange. Even in the pictures above it definitley lacks the "redness" of zinnoberrot.

Here's my Henna 323. When it got sprayed a few years ago I did some research and found that the code for Henna had actually changed 2 or 3 times over the years. It's pretty darned orange in the sunlight.

see my sig. ;-) orange. i think it was more red originally and has faded.

I recently moved the license plate to under the bumper and I have a subtle red patch where the license plate assembly covered the paint.
