325ic Dual Rear Mufflers

Has anyone installed dual mufflers on a E30 325i i mean 2 mufflers one on each side in the back?

I know a cut will have to be made in the rear valance but it should look and sound nice instead of one single/dual on driver side only.

Any thoughts, if you have done this which mufflers did you use, how loud is it, and do you have a phot on how it looks in the rear.
I don't want the low end drone/rumble whatever you want to call it sound I want it to sound nice but I still want to hear my music without having to crank it up all the way.

thanks

The hardest thing I can think of is finding a place to put that second muffler. There's an article in the Jul '09 issue of Roundel where someone did that as part of their build for a old 2002. In that case, they modified the trunk to remove the spare tire well.

There are some serious obstacles, apart from the valance, to doing this. Have you actually looked under there? It is much, much more complicated than simply cutting a hole in the valance.

And on a practical end it's totally and completely unnecessary on a car that makes only 170 hp. Or 400 for that matter.

I was only contemplating the idea for looks, thinking dual exhaust
in the rear would look nice.

Talking

If you're just doing it for looks.

Step 1: cut valence

Step 2: epoxy exhaust tip from kragen in place

Step 3:
