Did you get your ///M vinyls yet?

They were mailed on the 5th and I would have at least expected the couple that went to folks in NJ to have received them by today, I guess the rest should have them by Saturday, or Monday at the latest.. Let me know how it goes and maybe post up some photos of your install.. Don't forget about that soapy water trick - more on google about that.

UPDATE - See post # 13 for details, another shipment went out - and I have 5 additional sets ready for whoever needs them.

    Found this on the googles..

"C2. Wet Method: The wet method is very similar to the dry method except when you
remove the backing paper; you wet both the adhesive backed vinyl and the mounting
surface. Get both surfaces good and wet. We recommend a spray bottle (from any
hardware store) filled with tap water and a few drops of dish washing liquid like Joy.
This keeps the adhesive from sticking too quickly. If you don’t like what you see, you
can lift the graphic and reapply it. Use the squeegee to remove excess water."

Those who made the Ebay purchase, they will ship out promptly on Monday.. And thanks by the way, we're dead-even on the costs now so I can keep this going!

Wow - I sent those out on the 5th - That means 7 whole days to Quebec! I would have thought 3-4 days.. Glad you got them!

Don't forget to read the instructions in the other thread - remember, center the stripes and trim the tops and bottom - do not use the angled cuts I provided - you will want to trim it exactly with a razor once you have it on the car. Good luck!

I just got an email from Santiago wondering where his badges are that I sent out on the 11th.. I sent them US Mail, however I did receive back in my mail box with no explanation, but with a rubber band around the envelope, the set I sent to Rick two days ago. I suspect that because I included the instructions I may have exceeded to weight limit for .44 mailings..(I have since confirmed this today using the postage machine at work, I should have put .61 postage on them as they now weigh 1.1 ounces) Regardless, I am resending the remaining, Dion, Santiago, Mike, Rick and John another set. If you end up with two sets, so be it.. Enjoy.

Hey - cool! Looking good. Any problems installing it, or was it as easy as slapping some stickers on like I said?

and sorry about making you guys wait as I screwed up the postage the first time.

It was pretty easy just requires a little bit of patience. They are not perfect but you can't tell unless you look really close

Are you saying the one I sent is peeling? The only way that could possibly happen is if you got some type of oil or something on the vinyl or you didn't clean the chrome well enough - the material these are made of is the highest quality automotive graphics vinyl, it sticks like mad. PM me..

EDIT: I just spoke with Spider and he said he used Goo Gone - I say to only use "rubbing alcohol" - Apparently he didn't get all of the goo gone residue off and it's affecting the adhesion as one would expect. You will not have that problem if you use only rubbing alcohol and a micro cloth to buff the old glue off. Just be sure all of the old glue is off and the surface is clean and dry before putting the stripes on.

    Hey guys - UPDATE!!

Lance in CT - Shipped and on their way
Todd in San Antonio - Shipped and on their way
Donald in NH - Shipped and on their way..
    --
    Josh in ME - Refunded
    John in NYC - Refunded

So, why the refunds? Simple. The graphics shop that is doing this for me is currently on vacation and returns to work on Tuesday the 8th and I only had enough material to fullfill so many orders and unfortunately, two peeps got left out. The reason I didn't just keep their money and ship them on the 8th or 9th or so is because I too am getting ready to leave for vacation on the 10th and won't return until October. With so much to do getting ready for our trip the last thing I need to do is think about this as well..

There is some good news however..

Prior to the shop leaving for vacation we spoke about stripe kits for other models and such, but, I had received a few requests for the M stripe kits in different colors, mostly the monochrome stripes but German flag stripes as well - This is all doable. So, when I get back I'll be starting on a custom ordering store for whichever stripe kits you want and most importantly, no more EBAY!!! The fees are riduclous. Stacked those fees ontop of what PayPal steals and it drives to price up a ridiculous amount - Ebay alone was charging me $2.04 for each transaction.. So, again, when I return, cheaper stripe kits, more color options and more models included..

I'm really surprised by the amount of response for the monochrome and German flag versions - I never thought about it as you guys know I was just doing this to hook "us" up.. I'm still not making any money at it but, my PayPal is up to $116 and I've shelled out $90 so, $26 - minus the small labor and postage - I'm not losing anything but maybe with the addition of the other colors I can get ahead so I can actually stock the standard ones instead of having to wait for the orders and then buying the material.
