Fuel pump fuse in the DME keeps blowing. Anyone exp this issue?

The 20 amp fuel pump relay fuse in the dme keeps blowing 30-60 seconds after I start the car. Have replaced the fuel pump already based on a bimmer techs recommendation. However no fix. Anyone have any idea...

Have also replaced the relays...

Car is an e46 m3

I've never heard of a fuel pump fuse living in the dme. If you'll give the year of the car, and the fuse number that is blowing, I'll research what lives on that circuit. Also though, are you sure the fuse is taking 30-60 seconds to actually blow, or is that just when the car runs out of gas?

Or you can research the circuit yourself at BMW-Planet.com's library, where factory ETM's can be found.

There is a five fuse block in the ebox where the dme resides. This is fuse number three. It controls the the relay for the fuel pump, ebox fan and a few other things including the carbon evap system in the back. Did find my problem. It was related to a short in the carbon evap box. Since the custom exhaust is located next to this, the heat burned the connector. Will be visiting the local shop that built the exhaust for a little conversation
