well here we go again.
i would like to put out a feeler to see if anyone is interested in a custom AC Schnitzer Rear Wing for the Z3/M-Coupe.
Here is an actual AC Schnitzer part:
now i didn't like the way it looked "Two Piece" so with the help of Btotoro (Ian) he did some photo shopping and smoothed everything out. the wing we will be making will be the smoothed out version.
as you can see nothing will be changed from the original AC Part except it will be filled in and smoothed out. the wing will be done in "Dry Carbon" and the cost will be approx $500 - $600. FYI, the AC Part is around that same price (if you can find one) plus you have to bond it and or paint it. this one will be a Real Carbon Fiber direct bolt on.
the group buy if interested would be limited to 10. everyone else would have to pay the retail which will be around $700 - $800.
at this point please don't ask about fit and finish. all i'm asking for is, is there any interest? if there is i'll proceed with the project and post more information.
thanks for looking.

Coming soon: and a visit to Randy Forbes
I am interested but I may or may not have the money laying around by the time these come to fruition
I thought you were selling the Coupe Alvin?
Good luck with the project!
Let's just make sure Ben UK isn't involved in this go around
Alvin is the kind of guy that gets things done.
This looks better than the original ACS wing imo
I don't have my car yet but am interested. How will it look from the back? I'm not too thrilled about the huge 3rd brake light.
seriously!
I would be down.....
99 /// SC Stage II Z3 M Coupe
98 /// TT2 M3 Sedan
As long as
a) you don't play with fire
b) don't plan on playing with fire
c) live in the uk
I'd be interested.
I really like the look of that! The smoothed look looks really good. I would be interested indeed. How will the fit and finish be?
It's nice to see the non-M coupe wing in a up close picture that is good quality. I don't think I've seen one before.

i would potentially be in... but would like to see one... i think we are all kinda nervous about group buys of stuff to be made, No matter how much we know you are a stand up kinda guy...
any full car shots of the wing?
How about one in FG?
Need more photos, but tentatively interested.
I understand that photoshopping it to look nice might be an issue. Really I would just like more shots (with or without photoshop) to help me decide if I like it. If they are shots of the two-piece design, I can extrapolate the one-piece in my head.
..
Id rather have FG d/t cost. Looks good.
over my dead body.....
I will be involved if one is hand delivered to me and I will pay upon arrival

maybe if i get a refund from the last group buy...don't see that happening in the near future

I have a bellybutton!!!
wow! ... thanks for all of your in put and interest.
here is a little more info. the wing mold will be of the 2 piece wing in the first photos. that is a Real AC Part. after the wing is mounted it will then be filled and smoothed. then a mold will be made of that wing. it will be made of "Dry Carbon" and NOT Wet Carbon or a Carbon Over Lay. Yes, it will have the "Stock" 3rd brake light. fit and finish will be as good as stock and it will be totally bolt on. no gluing or painted required.
i'll be going down to the shop that will be doing the project next week to work out the details and just to see how they do things there.
if this works out. i'm told they would be more then happy with making all other parts for our cars. including a "Dry Carbon" sun roof delete panel just for starters. since they have a 10 order min to start any project. i told them that i'm sure i can sell lots of parts!
lets keep our fingers crossed. by the way the Company is Local and not some taiwan co.!
