Hello Hungry Autocrossers:

From May to August is a long time to wait, but the next San Diego Chapter Autocross is JUST around the corner!

This is your reminder that we have lots of fun corners coming up on SUNDAY AUGUST 9TH. (Date was incorrect in Fahren Affairs).

We’ll be in the BIG West lot at Qualcomm Stadium for the Turn ‘n Burn Autocross. Expect a lot of people for this event since it’s been a while, so register online to make sure you have one of the 100 spots (including the first 10 non-BMWs to register who are guaranteed a spot).

Online Registration opens at midnight this Sunday July 19th (i.e. late Saturday night) at (click here -->Motorsports Registration)

Note that all 4-cylinder BMWs are now in Class B regardless of modifications. Our Autocross Sponsors are the same wonderful people in El Cajon with a new name: BMW South County. This signals their plans to have TWO fine BMW dealership locations in the near future.

We’re also glad to announce that Encinitas Classic Car Nights are back the third Thursday of each month, with upcoming dates on August 20th and September 17th. This is an informal show of live rock ‘n roll and hot rods, woodies, classic cars and hot imports like your BMW. Charlie’s Foreign Car Service at 710 South Coast Hwy (in the middle of the show) is planning a special BMW Corral for our members, a great chance to show off your BMW and meet other Bimmerheads. More info is at (click here --> Encinitas Classic Car Nights).

Upcoming Autocrosses will be on:
  1. October 18 (Sunday)
  2. December 5 (Saturday)

See you at the Q!

Hello Autocrossers:

A quick update on the upcoming Autocross on Sunday August 9th…

We have decided to open up more spots for non-BMWs. There was more interest from drivers with other interesting cars after all 10 spots filled, so for this event, we have adjusted openings to 20 for non-BMWs. If you tried to register online for your non-BMW, you can now go back to Motor Sports Registration and grab one of the ten additional spots. If you want to autocross your BMW and haven’t registered yet, do it now since those spots have been reduced from 90 to 80.

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES THIS SATURDAY AUG 9 OR WHEN ALL SPOTS ARE FILLED.

Unhappy Need repairs...

Bump

I'm out for this round.
Have fun!

I need to rebuild my drive shaft, upgrade to poly bushings all around, maybe tranny bracket.
U joints are toast (clunk), fan is grinding into radiator, getting brake shudder.
Other than that car is fine. LOL
If someone wants to loan me an M3 though...
Nice pic from May with the new H&R Race springs :
