New dyno graph/vids for my bmw...

well, i put some late nights in and got some things buttoned up on my car. I was afraid i wouldnt have enough fuel with my walbro 255 so i installed a magnavolt fuel pump booster to squeeze some more juice outta my pump.

pay no attention to the dip in the graph, apparently Mega squirt likes to default back to previous over boost protection and it took me about 4-5 runs with spark/fuel cut to realize what had happened.

and this graph is after my 4 or 5 runs with problems from overboost protection so the motor began to get heat soaked from back to back runs. I told my copilot to check the overboost protect settings and he ASSured me they were ok. lol oh well, 620whp and 606wtq @ 29psi isnt so bad for a motor with 125k. we baselined at 550whp @ 24psi. I was having issues geting the car to make full boost on the dynojet. Im fairly confident this turbo has a little more left in her, but we will have to see another time.

give the vids some time to work, i just hosted them on youtube.

in one of the vids you will see my car jump and studder mid pull when my boost protection kicks in because it was set too low.

shouldnt be a problem with good tuning. Work has me VERY tied up this year so track time is looking grim. i will get out though, just not sure when.

29psi with a .140" HG is NUTS! Is that with 93+ meth or straight race fuel?

Last time I remember a M52 going 700+ whp resulted in 1-2 bent rods and a broken piston. Hope you stay together!!!

See I told you there is plenty of power to be had with the thicker HG/ARP man! Saved your ass some money since I kept you from building your motor son!

stock cams which is probably why my torque is falling off up top.

S52 cams would def help out up top, and without a doubt help hit that 700+ mark.

yeah, you would likely need less boost to hit your mark now.

i agree but its hard to throw more money at the motor such as getting cams until i see how long this power level will last. IDK, i guess if someone had a smokin deal on s52 cams i could throw them in and hit the dyno again. But im pretty content on hitting up the strip with this power level. im fairly certain this will be a handfull to control on slicks.

Thats fucking sweet man! Rocking the megasquirt! And to think, when I tell people I run megasquirt they roll there eye's and change the subject!

I'm building pretty much the same thing except ported head, non vanos valve springs, and gt40. My original goal was 600 rwhp @ 25 psi, thanks for proving my goals realistic!

By the way, what clutch are you running?

The exhaust sounds fantastic. I definitely need to route my wastegate back into the exhaust. After seeing those videos I'm ordering some 1.75" pipe, and flanges for my 44mm WG. Great work!!!
