    Pets & the BMW

My wife and I recently welcomed a new member to our family from the SPCA. While we were there they staff said more and more pets were being dumped, abandoned, left behind, drooped off.... I couldn't believe this. We are not well off, but have managed to keep all members of the family. Then rescued another.

Feel free to post your pet pics. Of course pics with the car would be great.

Dudley during the e39 head gasket replacement guarding parts. He is BMW friendly, and has one BMWCCA social meet under his collar.

Here's my co-pilot Murphy. He and his brother (Oliver) were rescued from a high kill shelter in Durham S. Carolina by me. It's a long drive (12 hrs one way) but they are the best dogs I've ever had.

spent 9 hours polishing my car and thats about 6hrs in . HANG IN THERE BUBA!

Edit: I bought Jack about 5 weeks ago. A dog in the pound had puppies and a lady adopted them and put them up for sale. He was the runt of the pack but he kept coming over to me and laying on me. After that I knew he was the one.

    In order of appearance

Kaylee our first and oldest - she is 19 and came as a discount with a purchase of a small dining table. My wife's neighbor said he'll knock off 20 bucks is she took the cat. That was 11 years ago. She is old and grouchy and generally beats up the dogs who are totally confused as to why.

Kisa came later as our first pet together. We found her in Baltimore Sun, some woman who worked as a vet tech took in two strays and they both had kittens. We think she is either maine coon or norwegian forest cat mix. Great personality, very much like a dog. She actually walks with the dogs. Deadly to yard critters, including squirrels.

Sammy came from a local rescue in Arlington. She was suppose to be our first foster but we failed at that, lol.

Wilson and Patrick came from a shelter in Roanoke, VA exactly 2 years ago this weekend. They were park of 6 pups turned into a shelter by some local woman who never vetted her dog and kept her chained outside.

Looking for a snowball I tossed

    Not likely to share it

And for MARB required content, M3 at VIR

also have a 2 year old chiguagua and a 6 month old lab mix that I rescued from the local shelter as a pup, they all get along great, all great dogs, sorry need to get more pics

Here is my pitbull mix, Daisy. She is really sweet even though some people think she looks mean.

Better than a red blinking light under the rear view mirror.

There was a guy who tried to walk up the driveway today, and very quickly turned around when Dudley barked from inside the house. Thank God Duders didn't charge him, with his usual favorite fluffy squeaky froggie. Not so much of a deterrent then.

Yeah the squeaky toy tends to kill any scariness the dog might have. Murphy stands @ the front and barks when people walk by (w/ his stuffed hedgehog btwn his front paws)

I adopted Riley (female Pitbull) from the SPCA when she was 6 weeks old. She is now approaching 3 and has been everything I could ever ask for in a buddy.

All of our bimmers belong to Pnut...we've had her since she was 6 weeks, she's now about 6 and a half years old.

    She helps clean the e46

And sadly she is super sick right now, bad kidney stone problem that will likely require costly surgery. Here she is in the x5 on her way from the regular vet to the specialist last night. Will be parting out the e46 track car to cover the $6k+ expenses

I know the feeling man. My Pomeranian has a slipped disc. So far pills and crate have worked twice in the last three years. If not its a trip to Duke veterinary hospital and about 4k in surgery.

We should have a regional meet fundraiser for some animal shelter...

which specialist? i think springfield vet associates is adding a new wing after treating our (washington humane society)pekinese for all kinds of things in the last couple years of his life. so far our two (papillon911 rescue) mini-mutts are doing ok. at 19lbs (total between them!) they aren't very effective at guarding anything...;-) car content....they are named Spritle and Trixie......Speed Racer's brother and GF...

Thanks guys. In that picture she looks like an old lady as she was having some tendinitis issues with her right shoulder so she was kind of favoring the left with most of the weight.

Better picture, same location, no M3...

Here is our Shih-tzu Herbie on the way back from Philly with the new-to-us car a few months ago. Great co-pilot, sleeps thru everything except rumble strips. He is almost 11, have had him since he was like 8 weeks old.
