Need members help, E36 cluster pics needed

    Hello, guys.

I am currently in the middle of designing E36 US and E36 M3 US cluster plasma gauges. And I would appreciate if somebody uploaded a good quality pictures.

I know non M3 and M3 gauges are a little bit different, 7000RPM on non M3 and 8000RPM on M3, economy MPG gauge has a scale from 50 to 10 on non M E36 and 40 to 8 on M3 models.

Can somebody also upload a UK E36 and M3 gauges as well. Which one is with temp gauge instead of MPG gauge? Is it from UK (MPH) or EURO (KMH) gauge cluster?

    Any pics would be appreciated.

P.s. PM me if you want to know more info on Plasma Dials in MPH for US market.

    Cheers.
    Danius

Well, it can be any type of gauges. I mean, they can be in the cluster, I just need to see what they look like. Cause I live in Ireland and my car is German, so my gauges are in KMH and I don't know how the others look like.
I've gotten couple of pics when googled, but they are not big enough. I need a good resolution ones.
    Any help appreciated.

That is interesting, I though all non M3 US models had 160MPH. But DUAHH, European models have 220, 240 and 260 KMH, so US models have to be the same only in MPH.

Is 140MPH dial the same for 318 models?

roarf, how come your 2.8 liter car's max speed lower than my 2.5 liter euro's? Is this the same as with M3s, Euro models faster than US? I though this wasn't applied to non M cars.

I think the OBDI cars have the cluster that goes up to 160 and needles that are slightly different.. the colored part goes all the way through the center. This older cluster is also what is used on all E36 M3's, regardless of OBDI vs. OBDII, I think, with the addition of the red needles. Lemme see if I can find some more pictures for comparison.

    Edit:

    Here's a Euro non-M.

Yeah, I love the light up red needle feature on EURO models Here is mine:

    Loving the night look

That is the reason I need as many different cluster pics as I can get. We have 160 MPH non M US 7000RPM and E36 M3 US 160 MPH 8000RPM cluster faces designed already Working on the other ones at the moment.

Damn, that looks really nice dude. I'm not usually a fan of plasma dials, either.

    .......you mean like mine....

That pic is from about a year ago. Since then, I found the output knob that controls the brightness of the dials hidden behind the guage cluster. I know have them dimmed down all the way.

How different are they? I'd like to see one of them. Can you please make a picture of it?

Let's say a guy has a US market M3 with MPH and he installs gauges with KMH. Do you think it would work out? Or would he need some calibration to be done on it?
I don't think there is anything else that could be different between US and European models.
    Anybody?

By the way, we got our first templates done of MPH dials. I shall be uploading them later on if anybody's interested

If you can get those gauges to match the amber color of the stock gauges, i'll get a set.

Why would you want aftermarket gauges that look the same as stock guages? (serious question, not being a jerk)
