Built Carbon NSX gets spanked by a stock E46 M3

Douche driving with 1 hand on the wheel at 100+mph in a built NSX

gets PULLED on by a stock E46 M3

Sorry I don't mean to sound like a huge fanboy here, and I love the NSX (not as much as a Vette though) - it's just funny to watch.

Wouldn't call, that spanked. You know it was a stock M3? Pretty meaningless video. I love the NSX, but that thing is stupid.

For a fully built NSX with carbon fiber body (not fully I would assume), you would *expect* it to be a whee bit faster.

and yea, I would call that spanked for all of the money that was dumped into it.

You know it was a stock M3 or did you just make that part up?

What does "fully built" mean, exactly? A 3.2L NSX with headers, exhaust, and intake will run neck-and-neck with an E46 M3. I can't see the video at work but it sounds to me like the car was (at best) visually modified with virtually nothing under the rear glass cover.

I love the youtube posters response of "you can hear him back off to avoid the up coming bmw m3..." Please view between 1:05 and 1:16 I'm pretty sure the bmw pulls a half bus length atleast and then slows after 1:17. I love both cars, but common..

Just like Supra's, Acura NSX's have cult followings, with mostly pre-teen pubelescents, most commonly found hanging out on sites like youtube, so these kinds of comments don't surprise me at all.

Ever visited NSX Prime or gone to an NSX meet? NSX owners are some of the most mature and knowledgeable car people you'll ever meet. They are also often older, relatively well-to-do, and well educated.

A fanboy of ANY car will, by default, be somewhat narrowminded, possibly minorly retarded. It's the owners that should be of real interest and in that regard, NSX owners are really second-to-none. They are great people.

doesn't look like a spanking at all. looks like the bmw was already going quick on the why and the nsx tried to play catch up. the nsx was right there and he let off. it's not at all a "race".

they look like they line up after that and the m3 never makes it into the camera's screen.

Uh, he hops into the slow lane and calls it quits and the NSX does a take off after giving him the peace sign. Did you not notice the cars not too many yards ahead of the M3? What did you expect, that M3 was going to floor it and cut the NSX off?

There was no way that M3 was going to hop infront of the NSX and behind that Camry in time.

I see no fanboy-ism in this thread. At all.

All I see is a mature poster, posting on a BMW forum about how marvelous a BMW is, compared to anything else, modded or otherwise, hence making himself feel better about his purchase of a car brand. Let's forget that said poster was in the same thread that declared that his particular car (540i) is capable of beating the BMW in his video.

(Sarcasm aside, I seriously believe people who have to do this kind of pontificating is insecure about something.)

Built doesn't necessarily mean added power mods. I'm more concerned if it was a 3.0/3.2 and its gearing. The gearing of the older cars was very long and they are sluggish once they get going. Side by side and each car in the appropriate gear would make it much closer. Stock for stock depending on year I can see a stock nsx rolling past an e46m at higher speeds.

It says fully built for the track, including transmission.
