    Joining the GroupBuy:

    Because this is a GroupBuy and not a sale, people must contact me to join. Please PM, email, or call us at 925-413-6280. I will need to know what size, color, and quantity you would like.
    The preferred payment method for GroupBuys is via PayPal for buyer protection purposes due to the waiting period involved. We also accept credit cards directly, cash, and checks.

    Shipping Policy::

    Domestic buyers: Shipping will be handled by UPS within the United States. Tracking numbers will be provided. Free Shipping is for Domestic buyers only in the mainland 48 states. Wheels are double boxed for maximum price savings, and significantly more protection.

    International buyers: Contact me on an individual basis to determine the best shipping method for your destination in order to keep costs down. International shipments must be sent with full insurance, tracking, and correctly declared pricing if PayPal is used for payment. If you want to use any kind of method that does not provide full valued insurance or adequate tracking information then a certified check is required for payment with a 3-4 week clearing period. (There is plenty of time for checks to clear before the container arrives).

    Terms and conditions::

    Joining the Pre-order GroupBuy is not a partial deposit. It is a full prepayment of the wheels and any applicable shipping (identical to prior GroupBuy). Once a pre-order is placed it is non-refundable unless there is a substantial problem that ends the GroupBuy. Once payment is made, you will only have to wait for the short manufacturing and shipping time of approximately 2 months from when the GroupBuy closes.

    Would the 42mm offset work for E46 M3? How much would shipping be if I decided to get the wheels right away (zip 30215)? I'd be looking for a set in flat black.

    Your's is Hyper Black, We're also going to bring in true Anthracite

    This photo has a number of things labeled wrong, but it's the one called Gun Metallic on the bottom left. We can't do any custom colors, this is the only new option coming over.

    It's a common anthracite/gun metallic color and it looks really similar to this wheel

    Yeah, there is a huge difference in the finishes. They both have a clear coat, so they are both shiny, but Anthracite is consistent color thats dark grey and some bronze mixed in there. While hyper black is a finish that seems to change in different light, and is just a darker silver.

    Thanks for your order Vage, I know you'll like your Hyper Black 17x9's.

    OK, can someone help me out with what these colours really look like? I'm just not into fancy colours, so I'd like to buy plain ol' silver, something similar to the normal satin silver finish that you get on factory wheels.

    What's on offer that seems to be in this general range:
    • Hyper silver - I don't have any idea what that means.
    • Hyper black - which aren't black at all, but some kind of silver.
    • Anthracite - which apparently isn't the very dark metallic grey that the name suggests (anthracite is a type of coal, after all), but, you guessed it, yet another variety of silver.
    • Motorsport Silver - sounds promising, but not available in 17x8.5".

    I realize that part of the issue is that metallic finishes don't photograph accurately, so can someone with firsthand knowledge shed some light on this? The car is Arctic Silver, which has that very slightest blue-ice tint to the silver.

    I my self have a silver car. Ive seen these wheels in person at bimmerfest. The Hypersilver is your usuall silver, but nice, Motorsport silver is a bit dull but unique, The hyperblack is very nice, its a dark silver, like Eddy said, and changes color depending on light, and the Anthracite is like gunmetal/dark grey. Im sure Eddy will give more detailed info. At first i was going for the Hypersilver as i like the clean look, but after seeing the Hyperblack in person it was sold for sure.

    Neil,

    What your looking for is Hyper Silver. It's mearly the name for the paint application, as it is a coat of standard silver, misted with finer silver and then clear coated. It is the silver you see on most aftermarket wheels, as the factory bmw silver has stupid large metallic flakes in it and looks cheap from up close.

    Examples below of Hyper Silver

    Anthracite is by no means a silver, Here is a full sized pic of the wheel that looks similar to the paint sample. It has copper/bronze metallic flake in it,

    That's a little pricey. A few people from Hawaii have purchased wheels, and they've used freight forwarders in CA, as it would only be $45 to ship within the state. UPS direct to Hawaii is $240. I could do USPS priority for $195. I'd look into those freight forwarders if you were interested in a set and wanted to save money.
