1976 - 1989 (E24) Following the success of the BMW 3.0CS, the E24 6 Series coupe's 1976 debut displayed ultra modern styling, true driver-oriented instrumentation, and set a new benchmark for luxury sports coupes. Whilst significant improvements in performance and luxury were developed over the years, to the untrained eye the basic shape of the E24 remained unchanged throughout its entire 13-year production run. The E24 6 series is an authoritative, menacing, beautifully aesthetic coupe that is never mistaken for anything else.

Interior/Exterior Parts for Sale

I've got my 24 Hours of LeMons champion completely stripped, which gives you, the Bimmerforums e24 community the exciting opportunity to help boost the cred of your own cars by helping ours exceed in a 24 hour endurance race! "But how can I do that" you ask? By buying a bunch of the stuff I have for sale! You'll own a piece of legitimate racing history! You'll help us buy down the cost of our car, allowing us to spend more on upgrades and stay under the $500 price limit!

Take a look here: PICTURES to see what's sitting around, and what's not on the car. If it's not on the car, it's available.

I've got:
Most interior panels/parts (1)
Visors (1,2,3,4,5)
Rear Center Console 1,2,3
Dash cap (1 crack in middle, metal frame slightly tweaked)
All side/rear glass (1,2,3)
Windshield squirter (1,2,3)
All power window hardware/motors/switches/window tracks (2, 3)
AC Compressor (unknown functionality, wasn't hooked up when I pulled it)
Heater Core thing (minor damage to plastic housing from removal)
Blower Motor
The entire front-end wiring harness (runs along/under/behind the front bumper. Has all the headlights/horns/rad. temp sensors)
Some exterior trim
Front Splitter thing, has minor cracks show here: (1,2,3,4,5,6)
One (1) Original 14" Basket wheel with a pretty vintage looking tire on it.
Horns (apparently there are 2)
Power-lock system (central controller, popper-motors, 90% complete whole wiring system)
Cruise control system (including switch on the stalk)
Original front seats in lousy condition. Driver's side has slider removed (used on the racing seat).

A note on condition: All of these items are coming out of a car that we purchased from a "donate your junk car" lot. The thing was in pretty neglected shape, and it's 27 years old. Do not expect brand-new looking parts/trim pieces.

I will test electrical things before I ship by hitting them with 12V and seeing if they move/make noise. I can't guarantee them beyond that.

If you need fasteners, let me know. Otherwise, I will assume you're using the fasteners holding your current parts in place.
I'm a somewhat busy guy. Which means if you need something shipped faster than "probably next weekend", you may be frustrated.
I'm open to trades: We need suspension/drivetrain parts for an e12-based 633csi.
Email me: at tim [dot] odell [at] gmail.com. I'm happy to take more pictures of something specific if you're interested.

Your items will be shipped form Los Angeles, CA 90065. I'm be willing to deliver all over Southern California. If you're in SoCal and want to get one heck of a deal, you can take it all home for one heck of a deal.

See? Now that's not helping me add racing cred to your e24.

No worries. I'm not taking this too seriously.

I looked em up on eBay; mine different than the later style.

Besides, every response sends it BTT.

Center Armrest

I need a center armrest, including the mounting swivel / stud that attaches to the driver's seat. I have a Canadian M6 with Recaros, but it does not have any center armrest.

I've done that. Worked for a bit, but the contacts are pitted pretty badly, and struggle to make contact.

Pretty sure our car didn't have one (at least by the time it got to us).

Sorry.

Although I am not an expert, his car is an early e24 (to mid 1982) which has different interior than the later e24 (1982-1989). I have a similar car and there is no center console and the shifter/right control cluster is quite different than the later 6ers. There might be some similar parts but most appear not to be.

Rockauto tells me it's the same part number.

It also tells me a new one is $250. Someone on eBay has it at $150, buy it now.

I'm much more reasonable. How about $80 + $0 shipping?

EDIT: I just tested it with a straight 12V, and it worked great (blew all the crap on my garage floor all over).

I don't need tail lights, but I could use the rubber seals that seal the tail light assy to the body. Mine are starting to look like old foam rubber, where as good ones look smooth all around.

I really need the rear speaker covers and associated parts. I'll post a photo of exactly what I need if you have it. Basically the speaker cover and the part that sits on top of the seat.

I'm also interested in the passenger side door glass.

I have another interested buyer ahead of you.

If he backs out - $75+ shipping for the pair, complete (lenses, metal trim, rubber gaskets, bulbs, plastic backing). (OBO)

Same guy who's in front of Mikey is interested in buying the whole interior as a package. If he backs out...

The rear panels above the seat are intact, but pretty seriously aged.

I believe I have the speaker panels, one is good, one is kinda dirty. Just to make sure they're not the fronts, some pictures would help.

$30 + shipping for these.

Passenger side door glass = $50 + shipping
Shipping on this might be a little tricky...I'd let you pick if you want to insure it, etc.

Other guy doesn't want them, so you're up!

If you want the whole things...they're yours $75 + shipping complete for the pair.

It'll be be $10 (FedEx/UPS Ground, USPS) for cheap shipping at $20 for better shipping (2nd/3rd day air, tracking numbers, etc) for these.

(sorry to other people who wanted parts of these...was preferring to sell them whole, as a pair)
