    Forgeline RS 17x8

Hi all. I thought I'd check to see if there's any interest out there in a set of Forgeline RS' 17x8. I had two sets, sold the first set last summer, but never got around to listing the second set. I do not have pictures of this set, but they are similar to the wheels shown in this thread: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1012537

They have been used as track wheels for many years, and as such are not perfect. They have scratches, dings, minor pitting, and other blemishes...but at 5' they look very good. More polishing would probably take much of these blemishes out, but I don't have the time nor energy. They are currently behind a bunch of stuff in my garage (where they've been for nearly a year), so I thought I'd post an "interest" thread before dragging them out for pics.

    Asking $1300 + shipping.

Do they have any rubber on them?

At the moment they are naked.

I do have a set of hankook street tires 235/255 (IIRC) with 20-30% tread left that I'd be happy to throw on & clear out of the garage. After this weekend I'll also have a set of 255 NT01's that could be included (they will likely be at the cords though )

I love my Forgelines. This is a wheel that does everything well and looks good doing it. What wheels are you currently running on the M3?

D-Force for now. Definitely a form-follows-function choice, as I needed two sets of wider, lightweight, cheap wheels. Waiting for a couple sets of rgr's to come up for sale .

I don't want to take Murph's thread off topic, but I will say that I like these wheels so much that I have two sets

Talking up forgelines is welcome in my 'forgelines for sale' thread.

I don't think that'd work well for me since my other set is 18x9.5.....although it might be cool to run 17x9 front/18x9.5 rear

I bought Murph's other set of RS' and they were great wheels, don't hesitate to scoop these up as they don't seem to be for sale very often.

They're et44 and I have 255/35/18's on all four corners. Spacers of 5mm rear and 15mm up front. Rear fenders are rolled, no rubbing. Fronts will rub a little if I turn while braking aggressively. I'm still trying to sort this out. I like to push the car from time to time and don't want to have any rubbing. I probably should've went with a slightly narrower front tire. I've had the 17's on the car for the past week and now that I look at these pictures the 18's look HUGE. I might like the 17's better. I'll have to take some comparison photos when the weather warms up.

Sure, I'm open to trades so long as they're 17x9 or larger.

Bump for a great set of wheels. I bought a set of these 6 months ago, and I'm finally getting around to mounting them...very light!

For the ARE's? Nice wheels, but I don't have any use for them.

I would have traded you for the 18x9.5 Forgelines though. Just a tad blinglie for an E39 IMO, but they would've made nice track wheels once the polish wore off!
