Post up you boredom DIY's.
You know what im talking about , when you have nothing better to do and start modifying, fabricating , creating something to improve your interior/exterior/suspension etc.
Post them with pics please.
i'm curious what people are doing when bored. i get bored, and i take things apart. and then i have 3 screws left, when it's back together.... i wanna get some inspiration for mods.
i've done some interior stuff lately. going with a grey/black color scheme. not finished, but i'll have pics soon, of my progress. wheel, shift boot, ebrake boot, so far.

I don't have any pics but so far my boredom mods have been.
De-baffled airbox (before I ever even hear about it.)
running a hose from my bottom grills into my airbox
and painted my gauge needles red.
This thread could get interesting.
Im looking forward to what people post.
i forgot. i did the needles too.
i get bord i just wash wax detail the inside, i want to see what kinda stuff you guys come up with, i might have to do some things if i like them,
woah. i want the charger thing, and the strut bar.
except mine'd hafta go to the firewall.... stupid m42
DIY on the strut bar?
didnt make one when i did it but it took me 2 days of grinding and welding the brace itself was easy but the mounting plates were a pita because the metal was really thick and it could only get cut with a plasma torch so the cuts werent completely round.
So i had to buy a shitload of grinding rocks to clean it up. Spent probably around $70 on materials and its solid steel maybe a bit heavy for some but i could probably lift the car by it
22.50 on ebay for a new one :-)
Hey Op, your that guy that helped the other guy turbocharge his 318 for under 1k right? Mad props to you, awesome job!
This weekend I'm doing my RTAB's on my 318is, not doing it out of boredom, it just needs to get done.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.
thanks, yea e30danny, weve been tuning it on megasquirt the past couple of days.
It looks much cleaner now i repainted a lot of the stuff under his hood wrapped the downpipe in headerwrap, installed a wideband and setup megasquirt.
But his past neglects on maintenance have caught up on him in the form of a bad fuel pump so hes down and out until his walboro arrives.
Yes, Tim is the man.
He pretty much built my turbo set up while I ran for parts and helped where I could.

No pics but some of my boredom DIYs include LEDs in the cup holders (not quite as nice as DelMarco's) home made 6 X 9 adapters, integrated bluetooth with home made wiring harness adapter. Next up may be an LED mood light that shined down on the shifter at night, maybe city lights or DRLs if I can find the module. Then there are the must do DIYs...and the list keep growing.
I've done a ton of boredom diy's. Tan to black interior conversion. E46 suede shift boot. Suede headliner. Mood lighting onto the shifter. Red cluster needles. Painted valve cover. Time attacked ltw's (old wheels). And the list keeps going...
