    HPF Stage 2.5 Race + Methanol 60 - 130

    5.85

I finally had time to pour some race fuel in my car this weekend and log some vbox runs with the new tune HPF recently added to their Stage 2.5 cars. I'm running 285/19 Toyo T1R's and I wasn't sure if I would be able to best my pump + methanol time of 6.43 due to traction issues. Starting in 3rd I have to ease into the throttle to keep the car from going sideways, I don't think the tires fully hooked until about 90 mph.

I knew it would be faster, but that's a significant improvement. Forget about cars... 5.85 is faster than the 2006 Yamaha R1 which does it in 5.9 sec. And on street tires w/19" wheels!!!!

    Congrats.

When did this whole 60-130 time become a benchmark?

When people began to have so much power that anything under 60mph was pointless. Also, going from 60 to 130mph allows many cars to do it in 1 shift because most cars are hitting the rev-limiter in 4th at around 133-135mph.

60-130 times have been prevelant for a few years now, and I think have become widely accepted as the next best thing to running 2 cars side by side. The M3Forum and 6speedonline both have sticky threads and list 60-130 times for many cars. IMO 60-130 is the best representation of a car's true performance.

    Wow! That is truly incredible.

Well I hope that HPF starts running out of all those intercoolers they have stacked up. It is about time they got the respect they deserve.

    Start buying people.
Where have I been? Astral projecting.
