I just wanted to let everybody officially know about a track wheel I’ve been actively working on since last April. I’ve kept it under wraps up to this point because I anticipated delays which ended up coming to fruition, and I didn’t want to upset people with delay after delay. Having produced wheels in the past I learned quickly that promoting your product too early causes frustration. I promised myself I wouldn’t show it off to BF.C until I had samples in hand and they were beginning production.

I was never satisfied with the selection of track wheels in the light weight category. They were either too pricey, not of a favorable design, or had clearance issues. This was especially true for the E30 M3 owner in me who wants to run a BBK, and a wheel without spacers. I made a wheel that works on the E36 and made an additional option for it to bolt directly onto the E30 M3 with excellent caliper clearance, And at the same time expanded the wheel selection for newer 3 series models, along with other modification.

This new wheel is called the ARC-8 by APEX. it's is a mesh wheel design, but it has been modified for the following improvements:

    > Increased BBK clearance over other Mesh designs
    > Overall maximum weight reduction on the wheel
    > Many size track oriented size choices
    > Wide range of color choices
    > Accepts OEM roundel center cap
    > Weight around 17lbs.

This wheel was created using the “Roll Forging” or “Flow Forming” process. The goal was to create a quality, light weight wheel at a budget price.

The following sizes are available NOW!:
    17x9" et42
    17x8" et20
    17x8" et25 (4x100)
    18x8.5" et38
    18x9" et42
    18x9.5" et62
    18x9.5" et35
    18x10" et25

I’ll be using this thread to post additional product information and imagery. These wheels were originally released back in April of 2008. If you're interested in a set get in contact with me. All colors are in stock, but some are in low supply.

Now time for a TON of pics!

Great looking wheel and seems to be reasonably priced. How about we get a bf.c track forum group buy going?

GroupBuy pricing is the name of the game. I haven't determined a BF.C price discount/volume yet, but the starting point for the 17x9 is $259 and will work their way down from there. Pre-orders will also allow custom finishes (minimum group per color)

They haven't been beat up at the track yet. As i just received some of these yesterday. I'm waiting on the last of the stress testing currently. I have a mix match of sizes, but could get at least one axle worth of the 17x8.5's on the track for some abuse.

Did you guys do any BBK test fitting on the 17x9s? I assume that wheel is for the E36 crowd.

Would Matte black work? I'll do both if there is enough, but I think one type of black might be easier. Again up for discussion. I'll have more Groupbuy pricing info tomorrow along with those images. Until then keep up the discussion

Nice looking wheels, Any chance of a low offset 9" (20 or below) ?

Z3 M Roadsters and Coupe owners are always looking for wheels that will fit.

I don't think that would be hard to do.(paintpro can correct me if I am wrong). However, it would be made by the hub being deeper(like how the 17x8 ET20 has a thicker hub than the ET38), not by making the face more concave. I would think he could get it done if there was enough demand for them.
