2000 z3 roadster... I see the high mount stop light shows a 2825 bulb. My roadster doesn't appear to have a replaceable bulb. It appears the light unit needs to be replaced is this correct?
Now someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the third brake light bulbs have to be soldered in place.
Yea.. Roadster 3rd brake light is just a bunch of 194 peanut bulbs... a lot of them!
Did you get this guide fromm Sylvania?
I have to check again, but I'll risk making an ass of my self and say the front turn signal is wrong. I believe stock should be a 1157 amber (double filament)... NOT 1156 single filament. That's why the corner lamp lights up dim when you turn on the parking light, and flashes brighter when you signal for turn.
If the Z3 is setup for city lights (europe/asia?) then the parking lights will turn on high a small bulb in the high beam reflector, and the corner ONLY has turn signal duties... in this case the 1156 would be appropriate.
Anyway, my point... is I believe US market Z3's use 1157 double filament bulbs for the front corner. (I'm shopping for some "stealth bulbs" for the front/rear turns, so I've been checking)
what about if you wanna change all bulbs to led?

The interior lights for Coupe is incorrect--there are two 43mm in the cargo area. These are the same as in the front interior light.
However, for LED conversion there is a ton of width available in both housings, so anything about 43mm long works--my OEM lights seem to be 2mm longer than listed above. They can be any width within reason--the length is the bottleneck. Based on that, I like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They have an aluminum heatsink on the back, not like the other cheaper LEDs which are just soldered to an FR-4 PCB, so they should last longer. They have similar brightness to these loose-fitting ones without heatsinks: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I know this is an old thread, but I found it while looking for the correct trunk light in my 2001 Z3 Roadster 2.5i, so I figured it was worth updating.
My trunk light bulb was a 6411 (41mm), so make sure you check what you have before you order (unlike me). It's super easy to pull the light out.
Is there a generic 2 watt bulb replacement for the 3 VDO gauges?
Anyone know of a complete LED kit for Coupe interior?
Rear sidemarker lights are 5 watt wedge bulbs--194 compatible.
