very interesting find. I wonder how easy is it to set up 733i rear brakes. Anyone know anything about those fender flares and their availability?

Sounds like it has a really trick suspension. Buy it and then sell reproductions of the parts.

Wow that thing is NUTS!!!

Seems like a great price for such a rare car.
That thing probably would need more rubber to hold traction.

Yeah he was on tricord's board for years...his name is Jesse.

I hope it does not sell for cheap, its not worth it IMO.

I am not totaly suprised Jessie is pulling the triger on this sale.
I had been tring to get him to bring that beast to bimmerfest for a few years!!

He had been having kind of a hard time finding someone to work on it

If anyone here ends up with the car I have extra 15" rim halfs!!!

Jeff

oh man, I can't believe he's selling. Hopefully not because he can't find someone to work on it. I'll work on it for him!

It doesn't need more rubber to put the power it's making down. I'm making as much hp with my m10 as that thing is, though I'm sure my torque doesn't come in as low.

205 whp is sooo underpowered for that setup. With a proper tune and just an intercooler that thing should easily push 360 hp (300whp) at 9psi. I'm sure you could still crank the boost up a few more psi and easily hit 400 without even breaking a sweat.

Someone buy this, put euro bumpers on it and tune it properly.

It looks like some additional pics of the engine have been added since last night - wow, with a little tinkering that car could be a real a monster. What a great buy for someone. According to the old Roundel article posted on the listing it was stated "Is this BMW for everyone? With a price tag of somewhere around $60,000, it is obviously only for a very few. If on the other hand you want a real sleeper and Porsche eater, you might consider it." I am sold - do want!

i'll bite - but it would be nice to see pix of the rear and interior. Josh, how much would it cost to tune the car to how you were describing it?

I could do it for less than $500 provided teh fuel system is truely tunable. I'd by a fat hoss 18" intercooler on ebay for $150, some mandrel bends to make new charge pipes, and a data logger/wideband setup to do my tuning with.

Then spend a few weeks relaying out the intake how I saw fit (get rid of that stupid factory air box), and start logging and tweaking the fuel system.

I'd also fab up a 3" exhaust at a minimum. and once you get to 300 hp you'll need to start looking at upgrading the diff.

Man I'd love to get my hands on this car.
