Fort Lee, NJ meet/drive Sunday November 9th

I am planning a meet/drive for Sunday 11/9 at 10am in Fort Lee, NJ. The meet will take place at Palisades Interstate park, located off of Henry Hudson Drive-right on the water just north of the GWB. After about an hour, we'll head up Henry Hudson Drive towards the Palisades PKWY north to the Bear Mt. Bridge ($1 toll). Cross that and take route 6/202 towards Camp Smith. Maybe we'll stop at the same gas station near Peekskill for a bit. We will probably stop another time just to make sure everyone is caught up on the side of the road. Then take back roads to the Taconic State PKWY. Hop on that going south and take the Mt. Kisco exit. We'll take back roads to and through Mt. Kisco and hop on I-684 South. End up in Rye. UPDATE

I altered the route a tad. From the Palisades, we'll take exit 19 and take Seven Lakes PKWY to the Bear Mt. Bridge. You will see that its a fun road

This would be a great cause! I meant to ask you if you have had any problems with high oil temps on your early production 335i.

This would be a great cause! I meant to ask you if you have had any problems with high oil temps on your early production 335i.

Haven't had any oil temp issues. The sport pkge includes an oil cooler. In warm weather she runs about 240 deg. The trouble starts around 300 deg.

An interesting side note. There have been many high pressure fuel pump issues on the 335. They were failing a lot. I was lucky, apparently, for I had no issues. I had her in for servicing back in May, and, BMW started a campaign to swap them out. So in an effort to be proactive, they swapped out my seemingly good HPFP for an other one. ( Can you see where this is going yet?)

Guess what happened a month later. That's right, the new HPFP failed. I limped all the way to the dealer. It was very humbling. So now I have a third HPFP where as my first probably never needed to be changed. (Insert rolling eyes)
