    e39 factory radio troubleshooting

I have a 99 528i that has a radio problem. I just bought it so i have no prior history on it. The radio will not come on. The little light on the right side doesn't come on. I have tried all radio fuses that I can find. Can someone with experience give a guy a hand finding the problem?
    Thanks in advance

Don't know if this applies to your car, but my 2002 E39 has two fuse boxes. One in the glove box, the other in the trunk.

If it has power and ground, the unit may be faulty. We have brand new replacement CD players if you need one.

I think there might also be fuse on the back of the radio. I'll check when I get home. Other than that, if the unit is faulty, get another on ebay. I paid $25 shipped for the business radio with cassette (CD changer is in the trunk).
