The car just had a preventative cooling system overhaul done. Cost me $1,300 for everything. So the main issue with these cars has been restored to new for you already Overheated only one time...pulled it over immediatley and had it towed....brand new cooling system the next day put in. Paint looks excellent but it does have some dings (very small) which is typical for a car that is over 10 years old but has never been in an accident (clean carfax). Leather is in good shape except for a small tear on the drivers seat. My personal BMW tech told me it needs a transmission fluid swap done to it b/c of some hard shifting happening but it's been like that for the past 3 years I've had the car and has stayed the same (not gotten any worse). I've never done any mods to the engine...bone stock. I've basically driven the thing like a granny to get good gas milage since the car is not really fast to begin with so the powertrain is rock solid.

I'm selling b/c I started a new job as an outside sales rep and I'm travelling all week long in a company vehicle. I've only been driving the BMW on the weekends since I started the job and want to replace it with a convertible.

The car has been living in a garage it's entire life since birth! Not to mention it is also covered with a fitted car cover inside the garage.

This car is amazingly beautiful Gets looks and double neck breakers every time I take it out (especially at dusk with the angel eyes on)....you must see it in person!

I'm located in Brentwood, TN (suburb of Nashville)
pm me or call (256)541-4624

If you would like to see some video then watch the youtube clip link below. My car is at times 1:02 overview, 1:18 exhaust, 5:36 rear moving shot, 6:05 front moving shot and 6:54 front & side moving shot.

thanks so much! I love your wheels I know I will want to cry when I see her go, but I'm really wanting a convertible to drive since I only drive my personal car on the weekend anyway.

at least 85% tread left on the tires (they're pretty new)...I've been trying to get some interior pics done but I've been travelling a lot the past few weeks for my job, hopefully soon...I'm ready to sell it now if you are ready to buy

I'm trying to sell the car with all mods first...if someone buys it without the mods for cheaper than I will part out the wheels seperatley at that time and post a new thread on the wheels for sale.

bump!
Just to let you, I'd be willing to drive to Nashville to see the car and possibly purchase if I could just see some interior pics and maybe a Carfax report. I know you said you were busy, so whenever you get time, I'm still interested in this car!

No, I don't believe so. It came stock with the car. It used to have the huge 90's cell phone in the middle

Thumbs up 528i Alpine White

everything looks great man! Have you talked to anyone about how much it would cost to repair the rip in the driver's seat? Also the only other thing I would want to see is a pic or two of the engine bay if you have time. I think I will be contacting you in about 5 or 6 days, give or take, if the car is still for sell. Just to let you know though, I'm not interested in purchasing the wheels in the pic, although they are quite awesome, I want the stock wheels. So if you would rather sell the entire package, I'm not your guy. I only wanna spend around $7000 or so. I'm just interested in the headlights with the stock package. Anyways great car, and I hope you get what you want out of it!
EDIT: Sry one more question, how does it drive on the interstate, will it need a re-allignment or anything?

Cool...I'll try to take a few pics of the engine today. I can sell the car without the custom wheels and tires for $8,300 and would include the stock 15" BBS mesh Style 29's for that price. Car does not need an alignment. It rides pretty awesome on the interstate...really stiff with the 19 in wheels and suspension but rides like your on air with the Style 29's because of a lot more rubber underneath it....I had 18" wheels on it before and that was a good compromise if you want a smoother ride. Not sure how much it would cost to fix the stitch in the leather...probably not much...it's only a couple of inches.

That sounds great, I only have a few more questions.
  1. Do you have service records?
  2. How much of a pain would it be for you to just sell the car stock at 6,800?
  3. Lastly, are there any dents or dings. I didn't see any on the car, but the bottom right side (in front of rear wheel) looks a little bent or is that just the aero?

1. I bought the car from my mom who bought it new in 1997 and I believe she said she has most of the service records (all performed at BMW of Nashville). The only thing I've had to do in the year and a half that I've owned it is the brand new coolant system which cost me a ton and I have the receipt on that and of course oil changes which were performed at Akin Bimmerworks here in the Nashville area.

2. I will sell it to you for $7,450 minus the mods listed. It did take a while to put the headlights in but shouldn't take as long removing them I believe. Tailights are easy to remove as well as the wheels of course. The only things that would be a pain to remove are the suspension and that is why I will not put it back to stock (your gain...awesome suspension setup) and I don't have the stock bumpers anymore so a big plus on the M5 bumpers included with that price.

3. Yes there are some dings. In front of the rear wheel right side is correct. My mother did that when she ran over a curb. Somebody taped the car in a parking lot backing up when my mom wasn't in it right below the right tailight (hardly noticable). And a couple of door dings and hood dings that could be taken out by a ding doctor. I had and estimate done for all the small dings taken out and amazingly the quote was only $450! I decided not to mess with it though b/c they really don't stand out and I didn't want to spend the money.

New pic of my E39 Alpine Weiss taken this weekend with member SpasticDwarf's "rust bucket" E28 at a Cars and Coffee event.

Here's another pic of the rear of the car since I only had one in the first post. You can get a better look at the M-tech rear with the Magnaflow 14816 exhaust. These are 18" non-staggered wheels that I used to have on the car before the Movens.

And lastly if you would like to see some video then watch the youtube clip link below. My car is at times 1:02 overview, 1:18 exhaust, 5:36 rear moving shot, 6:05 front moving shot and 6:54 front & side moving shot.

Those are some nice style 49s? Ok, I can see the dent under the taillight now, not that noticable! Well the fact that you go to meets and post on hear let's me assume you know how to care for one. Honestly, I pretty much have my mindset on taking this car off your hands! Did you forget to take a pic of engine bay lol? Well do you have any other offers on the car right now? I live in Little Rock, AR which is the only thing holding me back from seeing this car... I suppose I could fly out there if I really wanted it!

Those arent' the style 49's, those are 18x8.5" Beyern 5 wheels that I had on the car for a little while...I sold them already though. Here's a pic of the car stock with the style 49's.

Sorry about the engine bay, I've been busy the last few days...went and snapped one for you just now...here it is..

Little Rock to Nashville is nothin', only 5 1/2 hours. If you could get someone to drive you up I would do that....plus I don't know if you have ever been to Nashville but it is a really fun city...tons of fun stuff to do, great bars and restaurants...you could make a little vacation out of it!

Great looking Bimmer. Did the guy from Little Rock buy it? I am in Nashville almost everyday as I am working on my Masters at Vandy. I have a '99 540iT/Sport. Moving to a 528 would be a loss in power ... but a gain in mpg (what do you get?) and less mainatenance cost ...
