    Memory seats

I recently bought an 08 328xi with memory seats as an option. It works fine if one of the two memory seat buttons are pressed. Is it also suppose to adjust the seat when the doors are unlocked or the key in the ignition? I did not get it as part of a package. I'm trying to figure out if everything is working as it is suppose to. Thanks.

if I am not mistaken, you have to set the setting for that features to work.
look at your manual. I thought I saw it somewhere in there.

If you have iDrive then you can do the following:

    1. Open the start menu.
    2. Press the controller to open the iDrive menu.
    3. Select "Settings" and press the controller.
    4. Select "Vehicle / Tires" and press the controller.
    5. If necessary, move the highlight marker to the uppermost field. Turn the controller until "Door locks" is selected and press the controller.
    6. Select "Central locking" and press the controller.
    7. Select "Last seat pos." and press the controller.
    8. Select "After unlocking" or "After door opened".
    9. Press the controller.

On this note, I have an issue where the seat sometimes goes to the all the way forward position, when I've never set it that way. It must be a bug...

Maybe it's your wife's boy friend! I kept wondering why my personal settings were off and it turned out it a friend was doinking the my wife in my car. I would have been truly pissed if I wasn't doing his at every opportunity. He's still my buddy, but both old ladies are now history.
