    Factory Five GTM

** FYI: i am in no way endorsing or advertising factory five, but am sharing for the sake that we are all car guys, and i know that you would enjoy this as i have as well**

so you wont believe what i have seen. one of the factory five GTM kit cars. for you who do not know, its a fully custom built mid engine kit car, based on the c6 corvette. the beast runs off of the LS7 engine (which is just over 500hp) i would sell one of my kidneys...hell, i'd sell both of them just to get my hands on one of these. car and driver was able to get 3.0 second 0-60 times with this car.

    just look at this exhaust

i hope you guys dont mind me posting something that isn't based on a bmw. but i thought you guys would be interested. no matter how much i love my e21, id still rather show up to work in one of these! PM me if this is an innapropriate thread

well if we're playing this game, i'll whip out the ace right now. this car is also running the Z06 LS7, but i dont care! it could run on a 3 cylinder diesel and i'd still love it. and of course, that is the Ultima GTR. unlike the other "supercars", this is an actual race car. an actual race car somehow mass produced as a street legal car! bravo for whoever made them street legal

I have to go with the Ultima GTR myself. Either a 640, or 720. Might as well have the biggest balls on the road.

but then we also got the K-1 Attack. the looks, and sweet suspension set up is amazing. but its main downfall is the price tag (of about 75 grand), and its built on a honda accord platform. if im spending that kind of money i want more than just 225hp. but for looks it cant be beat.

well if we go back to factory five, yes their mk3 cobra is nothing short of perfection. especially using the 'donor' car system. but for pure orgasmic pleasure, they just came out with a '33 hot rod. if i said the things i'd be willing to do for this car i would be thoroughly banned. runs on any small block ford from 289 to a 351 windsor. and can out-track perform a C6.

If you're going the factory five route, my vote goes to the type 65 coupe:

    GC coilovers 350/300 - Bilstein sports - BBS sways - Rota 15x7's - LSD - Poly bushings - Bumper/Interior delete.

^^^ i second that. same price and difficulty as the mk3 cobra, using the same drivetrain. yet a much more rare and exclusive car. ive seen many cobra's, real or replica. but i have yet to feast apon the visual smorgesboard of pleasure in which that car is.

    If price was no object?
A customer of ours bought one of these for around 750k, kept it a few months and sold it for 1.5 mil.

I am all for a 1951 Merc chopped, sectioned, frenched, nosed, decked, and everything else:

And this one I was very close to getting a loan for:

I would gain much more satisfaction from smoking every so called fast car I came across with a 914 v8 hybrid. I've been daydreaming about these for years. There are places that sell adapter plates for the LS1 and others that mate them to the 930 transaxle. My latest day dream involves an all aluminum V8 from an olds Arora and Megasquirt. I think the aluminum block will put it in the sub 1400lbs. range. I rode in one down on highway 9 outside of Felton (twisty road) that just had a regular LS1 in it and it was insanely fast. I'll be building one of these when I get some shop space. A super car for less than 15 grand, that's where it's at for me.

Mine will resemble this one, sept I'm putting the 930 whale tale on it and way fatter wheels/tires. I'll probably need a wheely bar of some sort too I guess The goal is to build it and run the Silver State Classic
