    Pics Of The Freee21

My free e21 showed up this afternoon. It's in better shape than I expected. 1980 320i 5spd, 255k miles (if the odometer isn't broken).

It doesn't currently run. Needs a battery. Several connectors in the engine bay were cut, but luckily I know where they're all supposed to go, so it's just a matter of taking the time to solder and shrink wrap all of the connections.

She has been sitting for ~6 years after she just stopped running. So who knows what the problem is.

Once I get the car running, it'll be for my 16 year old brother (once he gets his license).

Some surface rust, sunroof leaks a little bit.

My brother posing with his new car.

3 Spare Wheels and some manuals, books, etc.

    Kinda strange, no?

Yeah, that was one of the connectors that were cut. I have no idea why someone would cut wires.

Really nice for a free car. Are you going to keep it?

I love the batwing in the back as well!

But I like my e36 car cover. The ltw wing gives the cover some character.

Well if I can get it running, yeah we'll keep it. He won't be driving it for awhile, so I've got time to fix it. I'm moving in 2 weeks and my e36 isn't really running. She needs the oil pan dropped again to make more inspections, so I don't have a lot of time for the e21 right now. Hopefully next week I can start sorting through the wiring.

Yeah, we fixed them after I took the pic. They just needed to be popped back in.

Moving? DDD mentioned something about you an La-La land.

Very nice looking car, even with the small rust issues. Just don't go following it down any off-ramps in your e36.

And that DOT-R sticker means that the head was re-manufactured, rebuilt, whatever. It most likely sourced through the dealer, from what I've seen of M10 heads with that sticker. The one on my engine just fell off recently. This car had one, my Safari Beige had a US re-furb'd head.

Lemme know if you need any other help with it...although I tend to jerry-rig stuff.

Yeah, I'm moving to LA in 2 weeks. Don't pretend to be sad. You never made time for me when I was down in SD.

I'll let you know if I need any help. Right now it's just playing with wiring.

Yeah, I'll be keeping you guys updated on the progress. I'll try to get my brother registered on here, because once it starts running, the car is his. I don't need a 3rd car (2 keeps me busy enough )

I don't know what my brother wants to do with the spare wheels. It has a turbine on the rear right right now because the basket had a bad tire. So he has 2 turbines and whatever the 3rd wheel is (can't remember).

    *sniff*

I used to make time for everything...I've been extremely anti-social the last few years. That and you live in North County. ICK!!!

But seriously though, good luck with the move, good luck with the car, and The Legion will try to NOT corrupt your brother TOOOO much.
